A star-studded Rams team expected to be in the thick of Super Bowl contention opens the season against a long-time NFC West rival in the 49ers on Thursday night in Melbourne, Australia. Given the talent on either side, the neutral-field setting isn’t expected to dampen the prospects for what has the potential to be a wire-to-wire Week 1 divisional clash.

Without further ado, let’s dive into three player props to consider for Thursday’s action.

49ers-Rams Best NFL Week 1 Player Props

  • Kyren Williams Anytime Touchdown Scorer
  • Deebo Samuel Over 29.5 Receiving Yards
  • Brock Purdy Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

Kyren Williams Anytime Touchdown Odds

Williams is expected to cede more touches to Blake Corum over the course of the season, continuing a trend that worked well for both backs’ health in 2025. However, that’s not to say the talented veteran isn’t going to remain a significant part of what the Rams do on offense, both on the ground and through the air. Last season, Williams found the paint on 13 occasions across 17 regular-season games — 10 of those instances coming on the ground, and the other three through his impressive work as a receiver.

Williams logged a whopping 63 red-zone touches in the 2025 regular season, and that actually represented a slight decline from the career-high 79 he’d recorded a season prior. The Rams are built for built for offensive success, and the threat of posed by Puka Nacua, Davante Adams and the team’s capable of collection of tight ends near the goal line will typically give the Rams’ backs some space to operate near the goal line. Williams recorded four total touchdowns in two regular-season meetings with the 49ers last season on a pair of receiving and rushing scores apiece, respectively.

With the Rams boasting an implied team total of 26 points, banking on Williams having a hand in some of the fun is a prudent way to go.

Deebo Samuel Over Receiving Yards

Samuel is back in the Bay Area from a one-year sojourn in the nation’s capital, where the versatile veteran corroborated he still has plenty left in the tank, even when dealing with inconsistent quarterback play. Samuel posted the second-highest reception total of his career (72) while totaling 727 receiving yards across 16 games in 2025, coming one catch short of going 11-5 to the Over on the 29.5.

Samuel has plenty of experience working with Brock Purdy, and the former is expected to fill a sizable role due to the season-long absence of Ricky Pearsall (knee). While Mike Evans and rookie De’Zhaun Stribling will fill the top two spots on the depth chart to open the campaign, but in Week 1, Samuel could certainly see No. 2-receiver-type volume considering Stribling’s inexperience and the fact George Kittle is expected to be on a snap limit in his first game back from last postseason’s Achilles tear.

A 29-yard threshold is one that Samuel naturally is very capable of clearing, especially in a game in which the Niners figure to have to remain aggressive. As such, the Over is very much in play.

Brock Purdy Over Passing Touchdowns

Purdy begins his quest for a healthy season after being limited to just nine regular-season games in 2025 and then putting together a so-so two-game postseason run. The one-time seventh-round pick has two highly trusted new additions to his pass-catching corps, as Mike Evans, a prolific TD scorer from both far and near throughout his storied career, and old friend Deebo Samuel are part of his top three wideouts to open the campaign. Then there’s a healthy Christian McCaffrey, who tied a career high with seven receiving TDs last season.

Purdy has accumulated 20 passing TDs in those nine games last season, a solid average of 2.2 scores through the air per contest. Three seasons ago, he kept a similar clip, throwing for 31 across 16 contests. The Rams gave up 26 TD passes in the regular season in ’25 and didn’t face Purdy in either game against the 49ers, but he did have a three-TD game against them back in 2024. With a higher-scoring game expected and Los Angeles having given up only six rushing TDs all season in 2025 — then adding Myles Garrett this offseason — a two-TD game or better from Purdy is conceivable.
