The Pick: 76ers 116, Cavaliers, 113

We’re taking the Sixers’ spread based on 2026 betting stats for both clubs, while the Under is also on the table based on a few data points for Philadelphia.

Game Betting Analysis

The Sixers are on a roll, now entering a matchup in which they have won 11 straight games when facing a Central Division club as favorites. Cleveland has also failed to cover the spread in seven straight home games, one of the worst ATS teams when playing at home. Philly has won five straight outright while covering the spread in its last four games as well, so all indications are points to the Sixers covering tonight. Moving to the total, Philly has hit the Under in a remarkable 15 straight games on a Friday night, while also entering with a 2-7 O/U mark this season. With the above data along with Philly’s 6-3 ATS record compared to Cleveland’s 1-6-1 mark, the Sixers spread is where we’ll lean while the Under has merit too.

76ers-Cavaliers Odds (Spread, Moneyline, Over/Under)

Deciding Factor: 76ers’ Perfect Start and Balanced Scoring vs. Cavaliers’ Battered Frontcourt and Two-Game Skid

Philadelphia enters Friday night 5-0, and the top-line stats behind that start are balanced rather than one-man driven: Tyrese Maxey leads the team at 28.0 points per game on 48.6% shooting, offseason addition LeBron James is averaging 7.4 assists in a facilitator role, and Joel Embiid has been efficient in a lighter workload, pulling down 10 rebounds a night and converting at an 88.0% clip from the free-throw line. Outside of Dominick Barlow (back, out since early October) and Ariel Hukporti (season-ending Achilles tear), the Sixers will have their full rotation available, including Adem Bona, who is only doubtful after Wednesday’s cervical spine scare against Detroit — meaning a club riding a perfect start shows up in Cleveland at close to full strength and with its top three scoring options intact.

The Cavaliers, meanwhile, are 2-3 and have dropped their last two games while still working to integrate their own blockbuster offseason move, having sent Darius Garland to the Clippers for James Harden, who is averaging 6.3 assists and an 82.9% free-throw rate but is still finding chemistry with a roster that no longer features its homegrown point guard. Cleveland’s frontcourt is banged up at the worst possible time: Jarrett Allen, the team’s most efficient big man at 62.1% shooting and leading rebounder, is questionable with a knee issue, while wing depth is further thinned by Peyton Watson (questionable, hamstring) and Tyrese Proctor (questionable), with Jaylon Tyson (ankle) and Nae’Qwan Tomlin (back) already ruled out. Donovan Mitchell (22.5 ppg) and Evan Mobley (8.3 rpg) will have to shoulder an even heavier load against a full-strength opponent, and if Allen is unable to go or is limited, Embiid and the Sixers’ interior scoring could be the factor that extends Philadelphia’s unbeaten start.
