The Pick: 76ers 120, Pacers 115

We’ll take the Sixers’ spread based on head-to-head trends and data supporting road teams for Philly, while the Under is also playable with the head-to-head stats along with Philly’s 2026 betting record.

Game Betting Analysis

Philadelphia has had this matchup’s number recently, covering in 4 of the last 5 meetings against Indiana, and they’ve been just as reliable in this exact spot overall, covering as the road team in 6 of their last 7 games. Indiana, on the other hand, has been shaky against the number lately, failing to cover in 3 of its last 4 games. The Under is also on the table, hitting in four of five meetings while the Sixers enter tonight’s game with a 1-3 O/U mark.

Deciding Factor: Tyrese Maxey’s Scorching Form vs. Pacers’ Battered, Zubac-less Frontcourt

Philadelphia enters tonight red hot and relatively healthy, and the headline is Tyrese Maxey, who was just named Eastern Conference Player of the Week after averaging 28.8 points during Philadelphia’s 3-1 start. He’ll have Joel Embiid back in the fold after Embiid sat out Sunday purely for plantar fasciitis management and is now off the injury report entirely, giving the Sixers their full one-two punch for the first time in a stretch, with VJ Edgecombe also clearing an abdominal contusion to be full strength. That continuity matters enormously against an Indiana team that just got physically overwhelmed up front, having been outrebounded 61-48 in its last outing without starting center Ivica Zubac, who remains out with a left ankle sprain; with Embiid healthy and attacking the glass, Philadelphia is built to exploit exactly that same interior vacuum tonight, and oddsmakers agree, installing the Sixers as 2.5-point favorites with a total hovering around 238.5-239.5.

The Pacers, meanwhile, are trying to piece together a win with arguably their two most important players compromised and a thin bench behind them. Tyrese Haliburton, still working his way back from the torn Achilles that ended his 2025 Finals and wiped out all of last season (a 19-63 campaign for Indiana), is questionable with left hamstring tightness, and by his own admission his conditioning and shooting legs are still rounding into form, evidenced by a modest 37% clip from three across his four games back. Indiana is coming off a 110-102 loss to Milwaukee on Monday, in which they were outrebounded 61-48 without Ivica Zubac (left ankle sprain), and while the extra day off before tonight should help, the frontcourt hole Zubac leaves behind doesn’t go away with rest. Andrew Nembhard is also questionable with neck soreness, which would push Kelly Oubre Jr. into the starting five, and Indiana is already without McConnell, Sheppard and Furphy, leaving Pascal Siakam (23.5 points per game) to shoulder an outsized load. If Zubac remains sidelined and Haliburton’s legs aren’t fully under him, Indiana’s 2-2 start could get run off the glass again; but if Haliburton can summon anything close to his peak table-setting form (38 assists to just 9 turnovers over his four games back) and Siakam keeps scoring at his current clip, the Pacers have enough firepower to hang with Philadelphia’s healthy stars.
