👑 Chris Olave, NO/WR/MVP ($16,200)
Saints superstar WR Chris Olave has been among the top fantasy receivers through the first three weeks of his fifth season in New Orleans. He and young QB Tyler Shough have quickly become one of the NFL’s most dangerous duos, with Olave averaging 125.0 receiving yards per game — second in the league — while commanding a team-high 29% target share. That share has grown each week, and the former Ohio State star has firmly established himself as Shough’s go-to weapon.
The dynamic duo should have another big night against a Falcons secondary that has struggled all season. Atlanta ranks 31st in opponent passing yards per game at 263.0 and has allowed north of 280 passing yards in back-to-back weeks. Teams have found little success on the ground against the Falcons but have had a field day through the air. With RB Travis Etienne Jr. on IR, New Orleans should lean heavily on the passing game on Monday evening.
Bijan Robinson, ATL/RB ($11,800)
Bijan Robinson has arguably been the most dominant offensive player in the league through three weeks despite his team’s struggles. The Falcons’ superstar is coming off a 213-yard scrimmage performance last Thursday and leads all RBs with 155.7 rushing yards per game. Robinson is the definition of a dual-threat back, leading the league in carries per game (22.0), receptions for RBs (4.3), and receiving yards for RBs (39.3).
The 24-year-old now has 3 TDs on the season after scoring twice last week. He faces a New Orleans defense that allows 27.7 PPG and ranks 27th against the run, giving up 4.71 yards per carry and 128.7 rushing yards per game. The reigning NFC Offensive Player of the Week should have no trouble putting together another dominant performance and looks like a strong bet to find the end zone multiple times in what is shaping up to be a shootout.
Juwan Johnson, NO/TE ($7,400)
Beyond Olave, veteran TE Juwan Johnson has been one of Shough’s most reliable targets through three weeks. His 15.3% target share ranks 11th among all TEs, and his 3 TDs lead the position. The 30-year-old has been one of the league’s elite red-zone options, ranking second in targets inside the 10-yard line and hauling in four of five targets for three scores in that area.
Johnson is a strong candidate to keep his hot start going against an Atlanta secondary we have already highlighted as a liability this season. The Falcons have allowed 6 passing TDs in three weeks and are giving up 10 or more fantasy points per game to opposing TEs. With all the attention Olave draws, Johnson has been the perfect complement — and a consistent safety valve for his young QB.
Brian Robinson Jr., ATL/RB ($3,800)
Brian Robinson Jr. often operates in Bijan’s shadow but has been quietly efficient when given the opportunity. The former 49er arrived in Atlanta this offseason and has made the most of his limited touches, carrying the ball 30 times this season at 4.4 yards per carry while playing 34% of the Falcons’ offensive snaps. He scored for the first time last week and should continue to see a steady workload based on his efficiency alongside his superstar teammate.
Robinson Jr. has now posted back-to-back games with 10 or more carries, and with the Saints’ poor run defense, a similar workload is likely on Monday evening. Bijan handles most of the goal-line work, but Robinson Jr. has shown he can be a factor in the red zone as well.
Devaughn Vele, NO/WR ($7,800)
We have already highlighted two of New Orleans’ target leaders, but one of the season’s true surprises has been veteran WR Devaughn Vele. The 28-year-old ranks second in target share behind Olave and has been consistent all season with 5.0 receptions per game. He and Shough have connected for 1 TD so far, and with Atlanta’s hobbled secondary, another is certainly in play in a game with a 47.5-point implied total.
The Falcons have allowed 5.3 receptions and 74.6 yards per game to opposing WR2s through three weeks, and with their No. 1 CB, A.J. Terrell, now on IR, Vele should see even more favorable matchups on the outside. He leads the team with a 91% snap percentage and ranks seventh in the league with an 89.8% route-run rate. That combination of volume and opportunity makes him a strong lineup addition at any price.
Jahan Dotson, ATL/WR ($3,000)
With Michael Penix Jr. back under center on Thursday, the Falcons’ offense opened up immediately. While Drake London stole the show, former Commanders WR Jahan Dotson showed promise in Penix’s season debut. The 25-year-old has played over 60% of Atlanta’s offensive snaps this season and has solidified himself as the WR2 alongside London. He caught just one of his three targets in his season debut, but an additional week of reps with Penix should help heading into Monday night.
With London and Robinson commanding defensive attention, Dotson is the ideal low-risk, high-reward budget play at just $3,000. His 13.9% target share through three weeks should only grow as the QB play improves.
