Best Bet: U7 (-122) at DraftKings
Best Bet: CLE ML (+115)
Score Prediction: Guardians 4, Rays 2
The Pick: Guardians 4, Rays 2
We’ll go with the Under again, still supported by head-to-head data while the Guardians’ moneyline is also on the table.
Game Betting Analysis
Despite Game 1, we go back to the Under as the top play as the Under has still hit in seven of the last nine meetings between both clubs. The losing team has actually scored three runs or less in 22 straight meetings, so we’ll continue down that path for now. Our set back is Cleveland hitting the Over in four straight playoff road games, but the grand trend to get behind are the Guardians current 12-0 run line run when playing on the road. Cleveland has also covered the run line in three straight road games when playing as an underdog and coming off a win. So expect Cleveland to keep this close again, maybe even win Game 2, but Tampa has won six straight home games off a loss, so we’ll stick with the Under although the Guardians’ moneyline is worth a value look.

Deciding Factor: Cleveland’s Battle-Tested Bullpen vs. Tampa Bay’s Suddenly Fragile Relief Corps
Cleveland’s 7-3 comeback win in Game 1 wasn’t about out-slugging the AL’s best offense — it was about out-pitching it late, and the bullpen did the heavy lifting. Foster Griffin lasted just four innings (2 ER, 5 H) before Cleveland turned to a relief corps that had thrown every arm available just two days earlier closing out a five-game ALDS against Chicago, with Game 3 starter Gavin Williams even working in emergency relief in that series. None of that showed up Monday: five Guardians relievers combined for five innings of one-run, two-hit baseball, Hunter Gaddis worked a scoreless seventh for the win, and closer Cade Smith needed only six pitches to put away a perfect ninth against a lineup that had scored 20 runs on Cleveland in the regular season. That kind of short-rest resilience matters again tonight. Parker Messick is a rookie who just blew through his career-high workload (193 innings in 2026 against a 138 1/3 prior high) and walked four batters in just 2 1/3 innings in his last start, so Cleveland is almost certainly pitching from its bullpen again by the fifth or sixth inning — and Game 1 already proved that’s a strength, not a liability.
The Rays, meanwhile, are the ones who should be worried about their relief corps after it cracked in exactly the spots that decided Game 1. Tampa Bay rode a sparkling 1.67 combined ERA to a four-game sweep of the Yankees in the ALDS, but that form vanished the moment the game tightened: after Patrick Bailey’s seventh-inning homer chased Drew Rasmussen and tied it 2-2, Ian Seymour surrendered the go-ahead two-run single to Nathaniel Lowe in the eighth, and closer-caliber arm Cole Sulser allowed an RBI single to José Ramírez and a two-run double to Jo Adell in the ninth that turned a one-run game into a blowout. If Freddy Peralta — who carries a respectable 4.42 ERA but a glaring reverse platoon split, having allowed 17 of his 23 home runs this season to left-handed hitters (.757 OPS against lefties versus just .688 against righties) — can work deep into tonight’s game and keep that shaky bullpen out of a high-leverage spot, Tampa Bay has a real path to squaring this series before it shifts to Cleveland. But switch-hitter Ramírez bats left-handed against every right-hander he sees, and rookie Chase DeLauter, who already connected off Rasmussen in Game 1, is exactly the kind of lefty bat Peralta has struggled with all year — and if either gets to him early, the Rays will be right back in the same spot their bullpen just lost them a night earlier.
