👑 Drew Rasmussen – TB/SP/MVP ($17,700)
The clearest captain play on the slate. He’s 11-0 with a 1.73 ERA since the All-Star break (99 K/18 BB in 93.2 IP), the Rays are 14-1 in his last 15 starts, and he’s pitched into the seventh inning in all three of his postseason outings. At 1.5x points as MVP, his strikeout ceiling against a Brewers lineup he’s intimately familiar with (they drafted and developed him) makes him the clear building block.
William Contreras – MIL/UTIL ($8,200)
Picked up right where he left off in Game 1, going 2-for-3 with an RBI and a walk against Tampa Bay’s bullpen. He’s Milwaukee’s best all-around bat in the middle of the order and gets a rookie starter in Logan Henderson who just walked a tightrope in his last outing — a prime бат to be on base and scoring all night.
Victor Mesa, Jr. – TB/UTIL ($6,200)
Cheap salary for a player in the thick of Tampa Bay’s lineup who already got a hit off Milwaukee’s bullpen in Game 1. His speed gives him stolen-base and runs-scored upside that pads the floor at this price point, especially if he reaches against a rookie starter still finding his control.
Sal Frelick – MIL/UTIL ($3,600)
The value play of the board. He’s in Milwaukee’s lineup again tonight, and his contact-first, high-floor profile (steady on-base ability, doesn’t strike out much) makes him a cheap source of stable production that frees up cap room to pay up for Rasmussen.
Chandler Simpson- TB/UTIL ($6,800)
One of the fastest players in the sport, and that speed alone creates a stolen-base and extra-base-hit floor other players at this price can’t match. He went 2-for-4 in Game 1 and sits near the top of Tampa Bay’s order, giving him plenty of chances to turn contact into fantasy points on the bases.
Christian Yelich – MIL/UTIL ($7,000)
The Brewers’ DH tripled home the game’s first run in Game 1 and remains Milwaukee’s most proven middle-of-the-order threat. Facing a rookie starter who’s shown he can be rattled under pressure, Yelich’s track record of making pitchers pay for mistakes makes him a strong source of power upside at a reasonable price.
