Best NBA Monday Props

  • P.J. Washington Over 21.5 Points + Rebounds
  • Victor Wembanyama Over 3.5 Steals and Blocks

Jalen Brunson (Knicks vs. Nets) Over Points + Assists

Brunson’s not quite out of his season-opening shooting slump yet, but there’s seemingly some light at the end of the tunnel. After draining just 36.6% of his attempts over the first four games of the season, Brunson went 13-for-25 from the floor in a win over the Bulls on Wednesday. He regressed to an 8-for-22 tally in a tough matchup against the Sixers on Friday, and after having the weekend to clear his head, Brunson should be refreshed for a favorable matchup with the intracity-rival Nets.

Brooklyn is allowing the fifth-most assists per game to point guards (10.8), along with 46.7% shooting overall. The Nets are also yielding the seventh-most assists per contest (28.2), and he’s come just two total points or assists short of going 4-0 to the Over on this prop in the last four games. Finally, it’s worth noting the Nets have yielded the eighth-most points + assists per game across all positions (144.2), giving further fuel to the Over.

P.J. Washington (Mavericks vs. Kings) Over Points + Rebounds

The Mavericks are nearly double-digit favorites Monday against Sacramento, and given the winless Kings have lost their games by an average of 19 points, it’s possible Dallas is ahead by a comfortable enough margin late that a front-line player like Cooper Flagg with elevated props doesn’t get quite enough playing time to hit them. That makes Washington an interesting pivot, considering his points + rebounds prop is very reasonable in this matchup and relative to the veteran forward’s body fo work thus far.

Washington is averaging 22.0 points + rebounds across 33.5 minutes per game while going 3-2 to the Over on the 21.5 over the first five games of the season while falling short in tough matchups against the Rockets and Spurs. Washington then managed an outlier of a three-point effort in a rematch with Houston his most recent time on the floor, but he’ll have his most palatable matchup by far Monday. With Keegan Murray (ankle) sidelined, Sacramento is more vulnerable down low and is ranked No. 22 in offensive efficiency rating allowed to power forwards (29.5), while also surrendering the sixth-most points per game to the position (26.8). The Kings are also yielding the seventh-most rebounds per game overall (56.5), along with NBA-high 55.3% shooting on the road.

Original Line Publish: 21.5

Victor Wembanyama (Spurs vs. Jazz) Over Steals and Blocks

Wemby has taken his already elite game to new heights over the last pair of contests, averaging 39.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 6.0 steals + blocks across 36.5 minutes per contest. The majority of the 2023 first overall pick’s props are fairly elevated as a result, and that’s a bit of a concern considering the Spurs are 16.5-point favorites against the 1-5 Jazz and could therefore give some of their top players a bit of down time if the game plays out as oddsmakers expect.

However, we can still take advantage of what should be a prime matchup for the big man by focusing on his steals + blocks prop, which is reasonable given both his body of work and the matchup. Wemby is already averaging 5.5 steals + blocks per contest, and he’s now facing a Utah team that’s allowed the third-most steals + blocks per contest (15.7) and 4.0 steals + blocks per game to centers specifically.

Wembanyama has also enjoyed plenty of success in these two categories during his 10 career games against Utah, averaging 5.8 steals + blocks and going a pristine 10-0 to the Over on the 3.5 number.

Original Line Publish: 3.5
