Best NFL Week 5 Player Props
- Tyler Shough Over 35.5 Pass Attempts
- Mike Gesicki Over 39.5 Receiving Yards
- Michael Wilson Over 73.5 Receiving Yards
Tyler Shough (Saints vs. Vikings) Over Pass Attempts
The Saints are in less than ideal circumstances this Sunday despite the fact they’re at home, as New Orleans is on a short week following an ugly Monday night loss to Atlanta and now faces an undefeated Vikings team with what is perhaps the league’s most aggressive defense. Not only does Minnesota prioritize putting pressure on the quarterback every single snap, but they add to an offense’s misery by very effective against the run.
Minnesota is allowing 3.9 yards per carry to running backs and has faced the sixth-fewest rush attempts this season, but the Vikings have also facilitated the fifth-highest pass play rate (61.8%) through the first four games. In turn, the Saints have the league’s fourth-highest pass play rate (66.0%), and Shough is averaging 45 pass attempts per game while going 4-0 to this Over on this prop.
There’s also the matter of the Vikings having given up 67 opponent plays per game in their two road contests so far and the Saints averaging the second-most plays per game (72.8), two more metrics that favor Shough hitting the Over in what should be a very competitive game.

Mike Gesicki (Bengals at Dolphins) Over Receiving Yards
Gesicki gets to face one of his old squads Sunday in the Bengals’ trip to South Florida, and the veteran tight end may be in a particularly advantageous position beyond just the already appealing positional matchup he’ll draw. As of early Saturday, Ja’Marr Chase (concussion) and Tee Higgins (groin/neck) are legitimately questionable to suit up for the contest, and even an absence from just one of the two star receivers would give Gesicki’s outlook quite the boost.
The Dolphins have allowed a 29-333-2 line to tight ends, along with a near-perfect 93.5% catch rate. That’s an average of 83.3 receiving yards per game to the position, and Gesicki is commanding the majority of the Bengals’ tight-end targets on most weeks. Then, with Chase and Higgins averaging 16.8 combined targets per contest thus far, Gesicki will be due for a clear increase in opportunity with just one absence, as mentioned earlier.
Finally, it’s worth noting Gesicki has come just three Week 3 yards away from going 3-0 to the Over on this prop this season, furthering his case.

Michael Wilson (Cardinals vs. Lions) Over Receiving Yards
The original play was actually Marvin Harrison Jr.’s receiving yards prop, until news broke Saturday morning about his impending trade and resulting deactivation for Week 5. We’ll simply pivot to Wilson in order to have a piece of the game with the highest offensive expectations, by far, on the main slate. Harrison wasn’t exactly gobbling up an inordinate amount of targets – he had 13 through four games – but Wilson still stands to see at least a slight benefit from his soon-to-be ex-teammate’s absence.
Wilson is already a favorite of Jacoby Brissett’s, as he’s drawn a whopping 44 targets in 2026, and 30 of those have come in the last two games. Wilson is now facing a Lions secondary that’s still short-handed and has allowed 13.6 yards per reception to wideouts, along with the most receptions (61), third-most receiving yards (829) and a robust 74.4% catch rate to the position.
This game has a projected total of 54.5 points that’s climbed a full five points since the open, and the Lions have facilitated a massive, league-high 72 plays per game to opponents. Wilson is also 2-0 to the Over on this prop in the last pair of contests, and in his breakout stretch run with Brissett during the 2025 campaign, Wilson exceeded the 73.5 figure on five occasions, all of them between Weeks 11 and 18.
