To pair with Dorofeyev, we turn our attention toward Jack Roslovic and Vasily Podkolzin, a pair of productive players who pressure the net at a high rate. If you have not already, check out our NHL betting trends page for the latest daily game odds, insight, and data.

Pavel Dorofeyev (Rangers vs. Kings) Goal Odds

In his brief stint with the New York Rangers, Pavel Dorofeyev has been able to rifle off high quality shot attempts at a consistent rate, generating 0.47 Expected Goals while averaging 3.15 Shots on Goal per game.

In a favorable matchup against the reeling Los Angeles Kings, Dorofeyev will be able to build on his momentum by picking apart a back line that has slipped down to 18th in Expected Goals Against in 5-on-5 Play. Especially with Darcy Kuemper struggling to keep a clean sheet, giving up 3.55 Goals Against per game while averaging a Save Percentage of .890.

When in the Power Play, Dorofeyev has been the focal point of the Rangers first unit, comfortably leading the group in Shots on Goal with an average of one per penalty. With the Kings underwhelming in coverage, Dorofeyev will be able to convert his shot attempts into Shots on Goal at a higher rate, increasing his chances of scoring.

Jack Roslovic (Maple Leafs vs. Flames) Goal Odds

While Auston Matthews hogs the spotlight, Jack Roslovic has rivaled his linemates’ output, averaging 2.85 Shots on Goal per game. In his last three starts, Roslovic has been able to stuff the stat sheet, scoring a pair of Goals while dishing out four Assists.

Heading into Monday night’s contest against the Calgary Flames, Roslovic will have a great opportunity to score by taking advantage of a back line that struggles to defend the net per their below league average mark in Expected Goals Against in All Situations. Even with Devin Cooley playing at a high level, Matthews will help pull the Flames goalie to his side of the ice, creating larger gaps on the outside for Roslovic to exploit.

In 5-on-4 Situations, Roslovic bumps down to the second line, leading to a bump in his usage rate. With the Flames struggling to defend the middle, Roslovic will be able to anchor in front of the crease and capitalize on a rebound when the puck ricochets towards him. If Dustin Wolf gets the start instead of Cooley, add more to your position.

Vasily Podkolzin (Oilers vs. Red Wings) Goal Odds

After a hot start to the year, Vasily Podkolzin has fallen into a cold stretch of play, failing to score in his last five starts. Even during his slump, Podkolzin has still been able to pressure the net while skating alongside Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl, generating 0.45 Expected Goals per game.

Fortunately for Podkolzin, he will be able to snap his streak against the Detroit Red Wings by attacking a back line that resides in the bottom half of the board in Expected Goals Against From High Danger Shots in 5-on-5 Play. When left unprotected, John Gibson has been unable to find his footing while scrambling between the pipes, giving up 3.44 Goals Against per game.

While Podkolzin has been able to ambush the net in standard play, he shockingly takes a step back in 5-on-4 Situations, averaging just 0.11 Expected Goals per penalty. With the Red Wings struggling to smother opposing shot attempts, the quality of Podkolzin’s Shots on Goal will improve, making it easier to find the back of the net.
