To round out the card, Artturi Lehkonen will have a great opportunity to get back on the sheet by relentlessly attacking the middle of the Nashville Predators stretched out defense. For more information, check out our NHL betting trends page for the latest daily game odds, insight, and data.

Sam Reinhart (Panthers vs. Blackhawks) Goal Odds

Even after the acquisition of Brady Tkachuk, Sam Reinhart has still been the Florida Panthers most consistent source of production on offense, leading the team in Expected Goals with an average of 0.55 per game.

Heading into Sunday’s contest against the Chicago Blackhawks, Reinhart will be able to build on his momentum by skating circles around a defense that ranks in the bottom ten in Expected Goals Against in All Situations. The Blackhawks inability to defend the net has also made it difficult for Spencer Knight to play at a competitive level with the former Panthers goalie giving up 3.52 Goals Against per game while averaging a Save Percentage of .888.

In 5-on-4 Situations, Reinhart has been the focal point of the Panthers first Power Play unit, leading the group in Expected Goals with an average of 0.37 per penalty. With the Blackhawks struggling to keep a defender in front of the puck, Reinhart will be able to rifle off a higher volume of shot attempts in front of the crease, increasing his chances of scoring.

Roope Hintz (Stars vs. Islanders) Goal Odds

While the Dallas Stars have underwhelmed as a whole on offense, Roope Hintz has been able to pressure the net at a consistent rate, generating 0.34 Expected Goals while averaging 2.10 Shots on Goal per game.

Luckily for Hintz, he will be able to keep the Stars competitive in a matchup against the New York Islanders by taking advantage of a defense that ranks well below league average in Expected Goals Against From High Danger Shots. Even with Ilya Sorokin playing at a high level, Jason Robertson and Tyler Seguin will be able to keep the Islanders goalie scrambling across the ice, widening the width of Hintz shooting lanes.

When in the Power Play, Robertson moves to the back line, putting Hintz in a great position to capitalize on Rebounds while anchoring in front of the net. With fewer bodies in the middle, the quality of Hintz Shots on Goal will improve, making it difficult for Sorokin to wall them off.

Artturi Lehkonen (Avalanche vs. Predators) Goal Odds

Since the start of the regular season, Artturi Lehkonen has been conservative in his efforts of shooting the puck, averaging just 1.55 Shots on Goal per game. A stunning performance when factoring in the support he receives from his teammates while playing in the same line as Nathan MacKinnon and Martin Necas.

In a matchup against the Nashville Predators, Lehkonen will be able to generate a higher volume of Shots on Goal by ambushing a back line that resides near the bottom of the board in Expected Goals Against in 5-on-5 Play. MacKinnon will also help pull Juuse Saros away from the net, creating larger gaps on the outside for Lehkonen to exploit.

With Colorado’s second Power Play unit running through Lehkonen, positive regression is also looming large over the Avs forward in 5-on-4 Situations while shredding a back line that struggles in coverage, leading to a bump in his usage rate.
