Top TD Picks: Kenneth Walker , Jaxon Smith-Njigba
We’re all set for an intriguing Week 7 Sunday Night Football between the Kansas City Chiefs and Seattle Seahawks. It’s a potential Super Bowl preview with two of the best teams in the NFL. The Chiefs are still undefeated, taking on the defending Super Bowl champions, who have lost two in a row. What’s most intriguing about this matchup is that it’s Kenneth Walker’s first game against his former team. After being a huge contributor on the Super Bowl team, Walker left the Seahawks in free agency.

While both teams have good defenses, it wouldn’t surprise me to see this turn into a high-scoring affair. We can capitalize on the fact that the total is only at 42.5 points, giving us nice discounts on the two best players on either team, Kenneth Walker and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

Kenneth Walker Touchdown Odds
Kenneth Walker is having a spectacular season for the Chiefs so far. He’s exceeding even the most optimistic preseason expectations. So far this year, Walker has rushed for 665 yards and six touchdowns, averaging an absurd 6.3 yards per carry. He’s also scored two touchdowns through the air. After years of playing with an underwhelming running game, Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs finally have a superstar in their backfield.
It’s mind-boggling that the Seahawks would decide to let Walker walk in free agency, only to use their first-rounder on another running back in Jadarian Price, who is currently on IR. Seattle decided to use that cap space on Rashid Shaheed, who plays a marginal role in this offense. What’s also confusing is that now that we see how good Walker is, how could the Seahawks have put him in a committee while he was there? It just feels like a mismanagement of a superstar talent.
With that in mind, I wouldn’t be surprised if Walker had some added motivation to stick it to his former team here. It feels like he was underappreciated by the Seahawks. Given how efficient he’s been this season, I love taking a shot on Walker to score a touchdown, especially since we can get it around -125 odds at the time of this article.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba Touchdown Odds
Jaxon Smith-Njigba is having another terrific season for the Seahawks, catching 49 passes for 717 yards and seven touchdowns. He has gone over 100 receiving yards in five of six games, finding the end zone in four of those contests. JSN also has two games with 2+ touchdowns, so he’s definitely an option if you want a longshot prop in multiple TDs markets.
Simply put, this is the best wide receiver in the NFL right now. His ability to generate separation and win downfield is virtually unmatched. This is a close game that should come down to the wire, meaning that JSN is likely to get several opportunities to score a touchdown. He gets absolutely peppered with targets in this offense, with 11+ looks in four of six games.
With the Seahawks (3-3) falling behind in the NFC West, this almost feels like a must-win game for them. To that end, look for them to lean on their best player, making JSN a worthy play at +120 odds at the time of this article. The cost isn’t prohibitive, so we’ll make the move here.
