Game Betting Analysis
The total has been a go-to in the series, but is now worrisome. Why? Well, the Under has hit in four of five meetings along with eight of 11 overall. Furthermore, Golden State has gone Under the total in seven straight games during the daytime – big data to consider as this game has been moved from night to 12:30 p.m. ET and might have an impact on player routines and body-clock-scrambling. However, the Over has been money inside State Farm Arena – hitting in eight of 11 games this season while also hitting in eight of nine playoff games for the Dream when playing inside State Farm as opposed to Gateway. With Golden State the underdog, we’ll go there instead with the betting data overwhelmingly in the Valkyries’ corner. Golden State has won and covered the spread in six of eight meetings, but the outright risk is also supported with the Valkyries’ 7-1 SU record when facing the Eastern Conference as an underdog. We’ll play it safe with the ATS market, but the data is there to take a chance on the dog outright. With the data above and the early start time, we’d recommend the Under instead of the Over, but the spread has much more conviction

Deciding Factor: Kiah Stokes’ Interior Wall vs. Angel Reese’s Disappearing Act
Golden State is a win away from its first championship because Kiah Stokes has played the best basketball of her career at the exact right time. In Thursday’s series-shifting Game 5 win, Stokes put up 13 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocks on 5-of-6 shooting with three made threes, and Atlanta shot just 1-of-7 on contested looks against her all night. For the series, the Dream are a miserable 9-of-48 (0-of-8 from three) when Stokes contests the shot, and her block Thursday extended her streak to six straight postseason games with at least three rejections, tying Lisa Leslie’s 2003 mark for the longest such run in a single WNBA playoff run. It’s not a coincidence that Golden State is now 3-0 in this series whenever both teams score fewer than 70 combined points; that defensive identity, anchored by Stokes protecting the rim, is the clearest throughline connecting a No. 2 seed that swept Las Vegas in the West Finals to a team now one win from hoisting the trophy on the road in Atlanta.
The Dream, meanwhile, have gone cold at the worst possible moment and now have to solve it in a scheduling quirk nobody wanted. Atlanta shot a season-low 29.2% (19-of-65) in Game 5 for its lowest point total of the year, and out-rebounding Golden State 44-33 meant nothing without the shots falling. Angel Reese, who dropped 30 in Game 2 and 21 in Game 3, has gone ice-cold since, combining with Naz Hillmon to shoot 3-of-13 for 9 points in Game 5 while DeWanna Bonner managed just two attempts and no points. Compounding it, Game 6 tips at an unusual 12:30 p.m. ET at State Farm Arena — bumped from its original 8 p.m. slot because the Hawks needed the building that night — meaning both teams are playing a body-clock-scrambling day game in a title-or-season-ends spot. If Reese and Atlanta’s supporting cast can’t find early rhythm against Stokes’s length in the daylight, Golden State closes it out on the road; if the Dream rediscover their Game 2-3 shot profile, this goes to a Halloween Game 7 back in the Bay.
