2026 Wimbledon Favorites: Top Contenders, Odds, Predictions & Best Bets
The third tennis major of the season is almost here with 2026 Wimbledon beginning on Monday, June 29. Wimbledon is considered the most prestigious of the tennis majors, played on a grass court surface at the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in London, England.
Carlos Alcaraz is still out, making the men’s draw a bit more even along with the fact both Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic failed to win Roland Garros. For the women, as usual it feels wide open although the big news is the return of Serena Williams who will enter the women’s draw as a wild card.
Let’s go through both the ATP and WTA fields of Wimbledon contenders with analysis and odds to consider.
2026 Wimbldeon Men’s Contenders
Jannik Sinner (-165)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 37-3
- ATS: 17-19-3
- Total: 18-18-3
It’s tough to take a ticket on Sinner, considering how he depleted under the Paris heat. Reports are indicating one of the hottest England summers ever, with Bad Homburg actually stopping their semifinal match because of excessive heat. The value and Roland Garros results don’t warrant a ticket on Sinner. With that said, he should still be the favorite to win despite his weakness in five sets under the sun. Personally, we’ll pass over play but if you want to take a ticket on his futures while hedging that bet by wagering on Sinner’s opponents (heavy underdogs) in single matches then more power to you.
Novak Djokovic (+600)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 9-4
- ATS: 6-5-1
- Total: 8-4
Joker hasn’t done much to warrant a ticket at +600 odds, especially with his performance in 2026 thus far, shown above. He is only five matches over .500 with 13 total on the season, while his stamina concern felt overly justified with his matches in Paris. He might actually run into Joao Fonseca again, unless Andrey Rublev can handle the job, and despite a pretty simple draw it still feels difficult to overcome. Getting to the semifinals will be a challenge for Joker, let alone lifting the hardware. Still, he is a G.O.A.T. of the sport and 6/1 odds isn’t the worst to have in your back pocket should Joker go on a run similar to Tiger Woods at the Masters not long ago.
Alexander Zverev (+900)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 38-10
- ATS: 27-14-7
- Total: 23-24-1
Despite winning Roland Garros, it’s difficult to take Alexander Zverev to win a second straight major event. His draw is very difficult with the emergence of Francisco Cerundolo on grass this season, along with his kryptonite Taylor Fritz lumped in his quarter. However, Fritz gets a tough Round 1 opponent in Jack Draper, so Zverev might not have to worry about Fritz in the quarters should the German reach that stage. Fritz also has Frances Tiafoe and Alexander Bublik to deal with. Zverev’s path (despite Fritz’s presence) and value argues a play, although the conviction for us is low that he will actually win Wimbledon.
Ben Shelton (+1600)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 25-10
- ATS: 15-18-2
- Total: 21-14
The improvement in Ben Shelton’s consistency lately hasn’t been spoken enough about, winning six of seven grass court matches this season with his only loss in the quarterfinal of Halle against Fritz. He also beat Fritz in Stuttgart’s final the week prior to Halle, both matches going three sets and the latter match entering a tiebreaker in all three sets. Shelton did have a good week in Munich but has struggled to string wins together in big events (Indian Wells, Miami, Madrid, Rome, Paris). After playing well in back-to-back grass court events, he might finally have the confidence to take advantage of a favorable draw. If Shelton can replicate his grass court results in London, he should reach the semifinals at minimum.
Taylor Fritz (+2000)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 19-12
- ATS: 10-19-2
- Total: 20-10-1
Fritz is the biggest x-factor in the men’s Wimbledon draw, as he is actually playing like someone who can win the tournament after missing many weeks of the season during clay court events. Taylor was actually a top pick for us to win Wimbledon before the draw came out, but then, the draw came out. Jack Draper in Round 1? Who is evil enough to pair those two immediately while Kyrian Jacquet and Vilius Gaubas face off in a battle of qualifiers? Make no mistake, the winner of Fritz-Draper in Round 1 should be your play after match. Fritz has odds to win Wimbledon at +2000 while Draper’s odds are +3000, that’s how close they are to one another. So for now, let Round 1 pass and then attack the futures market with the winner of Fritz and Draper.
2026 French Open Women’s Contenders
Aryna Sabalenka (+350)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 33-5
- ATS: 14-21-3
- Total: 20-18
It’s difficult to justify taking Aryna Sabalenka to win Wimbledon, as she has been in pretty poor form for a few months now while the draw isn’t exactly easy. She has quite the gauntlet before reaching the quarterfinals with name such as Jelena Ostapenko, Emma Raducanu and Naomi Osaka (although Raducanu might be injured). Should Sabby get to the quarterfinals, her opponents become less powerful and more crafty with Karolina Muchova and Barbora Krejcikova as possible opponents. Also, Mirra Andreeva is in her section so overall it will be a difficult event for Sabby to win despite the favorite and No. 1 ranking in the world.
Elena Rybakina (+550)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 32-10
- ATS: 20-20
- Total: 20-20
Fish is the biggest question on the women’s draw, with her form seemingly slipping since the No. 1 ranking came within reach. Despite the No. 2 ranking and past winner in London, she has lost four of her last six matches after going 13-2 in 15 matches prior. So which Lena will arrive? Who knows, but the draw laid out in front of her is certainly winnable while she stills holds a 6-1 ATS mark over her last seven Grand Slam matches. The +550 odds are actually worth taking considering her pedigree and path to the quarterfinals, but her inconsistency and historic late season collapses definitely draws concern.
Iga Swiatek (+750)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 21-11
- ATS: 13-15-3
- Total: 13-15-3
The defending Wimbledon champion couldn’t be further from the form that got her that title. With that said, she enters with a 6-0 ATS mark in her last six matches at Wimbledon and is in a winnable section of the bracket. Winnable doesn’t mean easy, though, as Taylor Townsend in Round 1 is a great measuring stick test to see how Iga comes out. She has lost her last two matches and has yet to win more than four straight matches this season with names like Serena Williams, Karolina Pliskova, Tereza Valentova and Alexandra Eala in her draw.
Mirra Andreeva (+800)
2026 Betting Stats
- Outright: 36-10
- ATS: 24-21-1
- Total: 27-19
Mirra Andreeva is another player with a few questions entering Wimbledon, as she has only played one grass court match this season and got throttled by Ekaterina Alexandrova. While Andreeva has had a great season and is the most recent women’s major champion, it’s tough to take her here. She is in Sabalenka’s quarter which includes names succeeding on grass right now such as Muchova and Osaka, while drawing a somewhat difficult first round opponent in Magda Linette. Andreeva’s draw and lack of grass court preparation makes her a much more risky pick than a chalk one, despite her contender odds and Roland Garros title.
