After Launching in Ohio, Bet365 Sportsbook Aiming For Pennsylvania

Bet365 Sportsbook is looking to expand into some new areas! Less than two weeks after the rollout of Ohio sports betting, which saw Bet365 Ohio debut, the mobile betting app is planning to enter more markets.

Currently, the international sports betting site is only available in a few U.S. states, although it appears to be adding to that list as time goes on. Let’s check out the latest Bet365 Sportsbook deal that has the mobile betting app looking to launch in one of the most lucrative betting markets in the country.

Bet365 Partners With Churchill Downs, Making Pennsylvania Rollout Likely

Churchill Downs has just found a new partner, and it could be great news for sports bettors. Bet365 Sportsbook and Churchill Downs have finalized a multi-year deal that will allow the online sports betting site to get market access to the state of Pennsylvania. With the deal, which involves the Churchill Downs property Presque Isle Downs & Casino, both Bet365 Sportsbook and Bet365 Online Casino will be able to expand into the Keystone State.

However, before these platforms can become available to bettors, they will need to receive approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB). The partnership sees a return to the sports betting industry for Churchill Downs, which began scaling back its TwinSpires Sportsbook platform last year.

If Bet365 Pennsylvania gets approved, it will be available in one of the top gambling states in the U.S. Ever since sports betting launched in the state, it has seen over $18 billion in total handle, as well as over $1.4 billion in revenue and $346.6 million in tax revenue. As recently as November of 2022, the state had an entire sports betting monthly handle exceeding $789 million.

The betting market in the state has been live since 2019, and with a population of nearly 13 million and a lifetime handle behind only Nevada and New Jersey, Bet365 Sportsbook and Bet365 Casino will likely be welcomed to the state of Pennsylvania with open arms.

Bet365 Sees Successful Ohio Launch!

The news that Bet365 has its sights set on Pennsylvania comes hot off the heels of the rollout of Bet365 Sportsbook Ohio. When the online sportsbook went live in Ohio, it partnered up with the Cleveland Guardians, which allowed for market access in the Buckeye State.

The online sportsbook is now fully live in the area with some stiff competition, which includes BetMGM Sportsbook Ohio, DraftKings Sportsbook Ohio, FanDuel Sportsbook Ohio, and Caesars Sportsbook Ohio.

About Bet365 Sportsbook

If Bet365 Sportsbook gets approval from the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board, it will officially expand into its fourth U.S. state. The mobile betting app is available in Ohio, New Jersey, and Colorado, as well as the Canadian province of Ontario. You can place plenty of different types of wagers with Bet365 Sportsbook, including standard bets, parlay bets, same-game parlays, and futures bets.

Plus, the online betting app offers one of the most varied arrays of events in sports betting, including wagers on water polo, field hockey, and floorball. The company’s iGaming platform, Bet365 Casino Online, is currently live in New Jersey and Ontario.
