Best Narrative Bets To Enjoy At The 2026 PGA Championship
We’ve reached a point of delirium when it comes to PGA Championship content and analysis. You’ve heard everything you want to know about how the course will play, who stands to play best, who the sleepers to watch are, etc.
I’m here to show you some analysis you haven’t heard yet. It’s time to take a stroll down narrative street and set the stage for all the “Wouldn’t it be fun if…” bets. Tail one of these narrative bets, and you will be the hero of your group chat. The smartest man in the room who saw it all coming before the headlines could write themselves.
Each of these props, should you choose to tail, are not analytically-driven, and are not financial advice! They are for entertainment purposes only. For bets you can feel more confident in, check out our PGA Championship Odds page, and my PGA Championship Tournament Preview.
With all that said, here’s a look at my favorite Narrative Prop Bets at the 2026 PGA Championship.
New York Dominates in 4
The Bet: Cameron Young Wire-To-Wire
If the crowds at Aronimink are anything like what we saw at the Xfinity Arena down the road last week, we should expect New Yorkers – AKA The Cameron Crazies – to once again flood Philadelphia. The Knicks made quick work of the Philadelphia 76ers in the second round of the NBA playoffs, dominating from start to finish for a 4-game sweep. If history repeats itself, Cameron Young is positioned well to dominate for 4 days too. Cameron Young is a lifelong New Yorker hailing from Scarborough and proudly reps New York Golf Club in TGL. He has looked dominant of late and is on a short list of players capable of pacing the field from start to finish.
The Brotherly Love Parlay
The Bet: Top 20 Finish Matt Fitzpatrick & Alex Fitzpatrick
We’ve never seen a pair of brothers thrive on Tour quite like Alex and Matt Fitzpatrick. Both players clearly feed off of each other – winning the Zurich Classic team event together – and are both playing the best golf of their careers right now. It’s fun to imagine the headlines of these brothers each contending in the City of Brothely Love, but these are actually two players we should expect to vie for a top-20 finish.
Aaronimink
The Bet: Aaron Rai First Round Leader
Aaron Rai at Aronimink? The headlines write themselves. Perhaps the most notorious hot starter on the PGA Tour, Aaron Rai should always be a consideration as First Round Leader. He may not raise the Wannamaker, but it’s a good course fit for Rai to jump out to a hot start.
The Rocky Step-Ladder
The Bet: Russell Henley To Win , Top 5 , Top 10 , and Top 20
Rocky Balboa made the Rocky Steps famous in Philadelphia, so we can’t bet a major in Newtown Square without a little ladder bet action. The concept of ladder betting in golf is to take an outright bet and continue to hedge in the Top 5, Top 10, Top 20 placement markets and so on. If the player wins, all bets win. But if he plays well and falls just short, you can still capitalize with cascading returns.
This market would be best suited for an Italian Stallion, but alas, there are no players from Italy in this year’s PGA Championship field. Instead, I’m looking Russell Henley’s way as a ladder bet target. The man has been a constant at major championships lately, and as much as I would love to see him win, it would be nice to still see a return on him if Scottie Scheffler decides to assert his dominance as he did at last year’s PGA Championship.
Always Sunny in Philadelphia
The Bet: Winning Score Under (Worse Than) -12
This one is a stretch, but bear with me. There is speculation whether rainfall will hit Philadelphia in the coming days. If Aronimink avoids rain and does not soften up, there’s reason to believe this course – and the greens especially – will become a bear to handle. We’ve seen Aronimink in soft conditions at the 2018 BMW Championship and it was not pretty (Keegan Bradley won at -20). I’m not suggesting that you bet on the weather, but a bet on the course playing tough is effectively a bet on Philadelphia staying sunny, cloudless, and dry.
May luck be on your side should you choose to vibe with any of these narrative prop best at the 2026 PGA Championship.
