UEFA Champions League Match Betting Previews, Odds & Analysis for Tuesday, April 14, 2026
The Champions League Quarterfinals wrap up this week with four ties, all still fairly competitive on the scoreline. Tuesday afternoon’s matchups, Atletico Madrid vs. Barcelona and Liverpool vs. PSG, both kick off at 3:00 p.m. ET on Paramount+.
Atletico Madrid shocked the football world when they handed Barcelona its first defeat at home all season last Wednesday afternoon. Diego Simeone’s club scored both goals in their 2-0 victory after Barcelona defender Pau Cubarsi picked up a red card, leaving his club undermanned with 10 men. They now return home to the Riyadh Air Metropolitano with a two-goal cushion, hoping to advance to the UCL Semifinals.
Meanwhile, Liverpool and PSG head back to England after a dominant 2-0 victory for the Ligue 1 Champions in the first leg. While a two-goal deficit is still manageable for Liverpool, the difference in quality was apparent and concerning for fans of the reigning Premier League Champions. The Reds managed just three shots, with none being on target for the entirety of the game. In comparison, PSG generated 18 total shots with six on target in the first leg.

Atletico Madrid vs. Barcelona Betting Odds & Analysis
Atletico Madrid enters Tuesday afternoon with an opportunity to eliminate Barcelona from a tournament for the second time this season. This meeting marks the third match between these two clubs within the last 10 days.
Barcelona will look to come from behind against Atletico Madrid in a second leg for the second time this season. Los Rojiblancos managed to pull this off the first time in the Copa del Rey, although they entered the second leg with a four-goal lead that time around.
Now, Simeone and co. will need to repeat this with a two-goal cushion in front of their home supporters. While there should be some level of confidence entering the second leg, anyone who feels like this tie is over is in for a rude awakening.
Barcelona was one of the top road clubs in the Champions League this season, losing just one game in the tournament. This time, they will be up against a familiar opponent, one who they just defeated at the Metropolitano back on March 4th.
This rivalry has been extremely competitive this season, with an 8-8 aggregate score in their five meetings. There have now been red cards in back-to-back games, with the undermanned team scoring two goals following the removal of one player.
Barcelona will look to recreate what it did at the Metropolitano earlier this month when los Rojiblancos blitzed Atletico with 22 total shots and generated five big chances in the match. It is important to note that just seven of those 22 shots came before Atleti’s red card during stoppage time of the first half. Even so, Barcelona will be relentlessly attacking Atletico in this match, and with the quality it has at the top of the pitch, it is far too early to count them out of this tie.

Liverpool vs. PSG Betting Odds & Analysis
Liverpool returns to Anfield down two goals to the same club that eliminated them from the Champions League a year ago. The reigning European Champions created chances at will in the first leg, and if Liverpool doesn’t change its strategy, it will likely be playing their final game in Europe this season.
As previously mentioned, the attacking output from Liverpool was practically nonexistent in the first leg, with Arne Slot’s squad generating just 0.17 xG for the entirety of the contest. The Red’s three shots all came in the second half, with two of them being blocked, and one missing the target entirely.
For what it’s worth, Liverpool looked much better when it took on Fulham over the weekend in the EPL. The Champions of England had a much stronger offensive output in this match, with two goals on 18 shots and four big chances created. Slot received goal contributions from all four of his attacking players in this match and will expect more of the same come game time on Tuesday.
However, that will be much easier said than done against a PSG squad that has looked as stout as ever defensively. Their performance in the first leg was not a one-off, with the Champions of France conceding just three goals in their last five matches.
To make matters worse for Liverpool, Ligue 1 allowed PSG’s weekend fixture to be postponed, meaning Luis Enrique’s side will travel to England with nearly a full week of rest.
Liverpool’s chances of advancing to the semifinals appear bleak; however, the Reds won’t go down in this tie without putting up a fight.

Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League DFS Picks

We selected two of the most in-form forwards in Tuesday’s matchups to headline our lineup. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s goal in the first leg of this tie marks his sixth goal involvement in his last five games for PSG across all competitions. The Georgian winger also scored two goals for his country during the international break in this span. You won’t find an attacking player in the red-hot form that Kvaratskhelia is in at the moment.
We then selected Ferran Torres, whose brace for the Catalans during their weekend match against Espanyol could see the Spaniard striker start for Hansi Flick’s side in the second leg. It will be important to monitor the lineups; however, if Torres is given the nod, look for him to have some chances created for him at the top of the pitch.
Moving into the center of the pitch, we went with PSG’s midfield pairing of Joao Neves and Vitinha. The pair of Portuguese midfielders has been arguably the best of any team in Europe over the past two seasons, and they showed that in the first leg against Liverpool. Neves finished with an excellent all-around game, dominating defensively and topping it off with an assist to Kvartskhelia. Vitinha was clinical in his central midfield position, completing 133 of 139
passes in the first leg of this tie. Look for both midfielders to have continued success at Anfield on Tuesday.
We stuck with PSG for our first defender, Nuno Mendes. The Portuguese full-back was solid at the back with five defensive contributions in the first leg. Mendes’ salary typically rises due to his offensive contributions on the left side of the pitch. The 23-year-old created two big chances in the first leg, completing 61 of 67 passes and three of three long balls in the process. Mendes continues to excel as a top-tier dual-threat option for PSG.
For our second and final defender, we selected Liverpool’s captain, Virgil Van Dijk. The Dutch centre back has won just about every trophy with Liverpool, as he has been one of the best at his position for many years now. The 34-year-old defender will always be solid in defense and often finds himself threatening the opposing goal in big games. With his 6’5” frame, Van Dijk is a constant threat in set-piece situations and could find the back of the net at Anfield.
We selected Juan Musso as our goalkeeper in this lineup. The 31-year-old keeper has been Atletico’s saving grace, with first-choice goalkeeper Jan Oblak forced to miss so much time this season due to injury. The Argentine has had a great season overall, but particularly against Barcelona. In four games against the Champions of Spain, Musso has 23 saves on 78 total shots from one of the most prolific attacks in the world this season. There’s no doubt Barcelona will come out shooting, and Musso’s track record shows he will likely be up to the task.
At the Utility spot, we had enough salary left over to select the most expensive player of Tuesday’s games, Lamine Yamal. The young phenom has arguably been the best player in the world this season, and he will now be asked to show off his greatness on the biggest stage. Yamal will enter the second leg of this matchup after a world-class performance in La Liga over the weekend. The 18-year-old racked up two assists and a goal en route to a 4-1 victory over Espanyol. Barcelona will need more of this on Tuesday afternoon.
