UEFA Champions League Match Betting Previews, Odds & Analysis for Wednesday, April 8, 2026
Day two of the UEFA Champions League Quarter Finals is set to resume on Wednesday, April 7, at 3 p.m. ET when familiar foes, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, matchup for the fifth time across all competitions this season. These teams last played each other just four days ago, when Robert Lewandowski’s late goal secured Barcelona’s 2-1 victory in La Liga.
Kicking off at the same time will be PSG, who will be hosting the English Champions, Liverpool, at the Parc des Princes. These teams last met in the 24/25 UCL Round of 16, with PSG just squeezing through, winning the tie in a penalty shootout.
A bit earlier in the afternoon, the UEFA Europa League Quarter Finals kick off with an intriguing matchup between Braga and Real Betis. These clubs have never faced off in a competitive match, and Braga will have the support of its home fans in the first leg of this tie.
Tuesday’s UEFA Champions League and Europa League Schedule

Braga vs. Real Betis Odds & Analysis
Soccer fans will have what should be a competitive match to look forward to during the early slate of European football on Wednesday afternoon.
Both Braga and Real Betis are considered middle to lower-end clubs in terms of odds to win the tournament that still remain. Both clubs sit within the top five of their respective league’s table, and have undeniable quality that could be found throughout the team.
Seeing as there is no head-to-head data to analyze for this matchup, it is important to take a look at both clubs’ recent form entering this contest.
The most glaring trend when doing so is the lack of consistency for both teams. Neither team has won back-to-back games since February, and Betis will not be able to do so here after drawing their most recent match and losing the one before that one.
Braga, on the other hand, enters Wednesday’s contest after picking up a big win vs. Moreirense over the weekend. Despite dominating in many statistical categories, Braga managed just one score in the 1-0 road victory.
It is worth noting that both of these clubs struggled mightily as the road team in the Round of 16. Real Betis quickly fell 1-0 at the hands of Panathinaikos, while Braga lost the first leg of their tie with Ferencvaros 2-0.
Real Betis will likely try to dominate possession in this matchup, but struggle with the end product as they so often do. Betis finished their last match with 70% possession versus Espanyol, yet the game ended in a 0-0 draw.
We already discussed Braga’s equally inconsistent attack, and for that reason, I like under 2.5 total goals in this matchup.
Best Bet: Under Total Goals
Barcelona vs. Atletico Madrid Odds & Analysis
If they aren’t already, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid players and fans are going to be sick of each other after this quarter-final tie over the next two weeks. These household Spanish clubs will have faced off for the fourth, fifth, and sixth time this season over 10 days.
Barcelona has been the stronger team in this rivalry this year, winning three of the four games played thus far. Atleti did, however, eliminate the Spanish Champions from winning the Copa del Rey in back-to-back years. Diego Simeone’s squad’s lone victory came in the first leg of the Copa del Rey semifinals, where Atletico Madrid jumped out to a 4-0 lead at home by halftime.
Atletico Madrid will need to show some resemblance to that performance at the Camp Nou on Wednesday afternoon. Barcelona’s home record has been nothing short of spectacular this season, losing just one game in front of their fans in all competitions.
The leading catalyst for this has been Barca’s attack when at home. Apart from their last home game, Barcelona has scored at least three goals in every game of the 2026 calendar year. Hansi Flick will be without one of his biggest contributors to this, Raphina. The Brazilian forward has been one of the best in the sport this season, but recently reaggravated a hamstring issue and will miss this tie in its entirety.
That didn’t seem to matter too much when these teams matched up on Saturday afternoon. Barcelona’s trigger-happy approach saw them trail for just three minutes in this game before a first-half equalizer from Marcus Rashford knotted things up. A costly mistake in the dying moments of the first half additional time would ultimately cost Atletico the game.
Midfielder Nicolas Gonzalez was shown red in the 45’ + 7’, leaving Simeone 15 minutes during halftime to try to come up with a solution to playing the top team in La Liga at a disadvantage.
Barcelona turned it up a notch after the break, shooting 15 of their 22 shots in the second 45 minutes. In the four matches this year, Barcelona is averaging 19 shots per game vs. Atletico. If Atleti wants any chance of winning or heading back home with an attainable deficit, they must avoid picking up another red card and attempt to keep as much possession as possible.
Best Bet: Barcelona & Over 2.5
PSG vs. Liverpool Odds & Analysis
The reigning Champions League winners prepare to host their second straight EPL opponent, this time the Champions of England. PSG made quick work of Chelsea in the round of 16, and will hope to have the same success against Liverpool starting on Wednesday.
We of course saw this matchup just a year ago, when a low-scoring affair over the two leags ended in with a penalty shootout in favor of PSG. Many dubbed PSG the “best team in the world” last season, and after their performance in the last round, it’s hard to argue that isn’t the case again.
It does help that Ligue 1 seems to be bending the rules a bit to allow for more rest from their top-club. PSG has had two domestic games postponed, once versus Chelsea, and again now versus Liverpool. Many of the top players have played a ton of games over the past two years, so a few extra days of rest likely goes further than you may think.
PSG’s 8-2 aggregate win was nothing short of impressive to say the least. The French giants appear to be shaping into form at the right time, and will have another litmus test with Liverpool. The Reds, while not as strong as a year ago, made several large moves in the offseason, and have one of the more talented squads you will come across.
They enter this tie after a big return leg saw them defeat Galatasaray 4-1 on aggregate score. Arne Slot’s squad has struggled with consistency all season, and that has been as apparent as ever in the two games that followed.
Liverpool would go on to lose 2-1 to a weaker Brighton side, and more concerningly, 4-0 over the weekend to Manchester City. This will be the Scousers third straight away game, and they’ll need to try and find a way to get back to Anfield with a manageable scoreline. Slot will be without first choice goalkeeper, Alisson, who will miss the majority of the season with a muscle injury.
Best Bet: PSG ML
Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League DFS Picks

I compiled a lineup of some of the top players for Wednesday’s Champions League quarterfinal matches.
To start things off, we selected left winger Marcus Rashford, who scored on Atleti just four days ago. The Englishman had a solid game on Saturday with two shots on target, one big chance created, and three key passes during Barcelona’s 2-1 victory.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia was one of the best attackers in the Round of 16, scoring three goals and providing an assist despite playing just 101 minutes over the two legs. The Georgian international has proven to come up big when PSG needs him most.
Next, we selected one of Liverpool’s two blockbuster signings from last summer, Florian Wirtz. The German international has had a bit of an up-and-down season, but will be called upon in Liverpool’s biggest challenge yet. The 22-year-old has been key in linking Liverpool’s attack all season.
The next midfielder we selected was Barcelona’s Pedri. The Spaniard has been one of the best players at his position all season, and has had several great games versus Atletico already this
year. While he may not score or assist, expect great passing and defending from Barcelona’s number 8.
Staying in Barcelona, we selected right back Jules Kounde as our first defender. Kounde is pivotal for Flick not only defensively, but also in making overlapping runs on the right side with Lamine Yamal when Barcelona is in possession.
Playing a similar role on the left-hand side is Nuno Mendes for PSG. The Portuguese international has elite defensive prowess, but is also known for putting in dangerous crosses or striking the ball from distance himself.
For goalkeeper, we went with Liverpool’s Giorgi Mamardashvili, Alisson’s backup. The Georgian international has been solid in spot starts this season, and will have an opportunity to rack up saves against PSG’s prolific attack.
In the utility spot, we selected Dominik Szoboszlai, who has arguably been Liverpool’s player of the season. The Hungarian midfielder has come up big for Slot and company when he’s been needed most.
