Week 7 kicked off with an exciting offensive battle between the Patriots and Bears on Thursday, but now moves to a packed slate starting early Sunday morning across the Atlantic. The Steelers and Saints kick off Sunday’s action at 9:30 a.m. ET in Paris, leading directly into a 10-game slate across the rest of the afternoon. Jordan Love, GNB/QB ($6,000)
We open our lineup with Packers QB Jordan Love taking on division rivals who arrive fresh off a bye week. It remains to be seen how the Lions defense looks coming out of the break, but if it resembles what we have seen this season, Love and company should be in for a productive afternoon. No team gives up more passing yards per game than Detroit at 297.4, and the Lions are allowing the 30th-most points per game at 29.6 heading into Sunday. Green Bay’s offense has looked solid throughout a three-game win streak and could make noise as a slight road underdog.
With the Packers’ run game inconsistent this season, Matt LaFleur has leaned on the passing game at the third-highest rate in the league, calling passes on over 65% of plays. Love is now averaging over 320 passing yards per game in his last two outings. The seventh-year QB has also historically performed well at Ford Field, throwing for eight TDs and zero INTs in three career starts in Detroit.
Ashton Jeanty, LVR/RB ($6,500)
Sophomore back Ashton Jeanty has been instrumental in the Raiders’ early-season success, but will look to bounce back from two poor rushing performances when Las Vegas faces the Rams on Sunday afternoon. Jeanty has totaled just 20 carries for 49 yards over his last two games and has struggled to find a rhythm on the ground, with his team playing from behind in both contests. He has stayed involved in the short passing game with 7 receptions in that span, but Sunday could be the game where he gets a healthy volume of carries against a struggling Rams defense.
Los Angeles could be without their star WR duo of Puka Nacua and Davante Adams, making this likely a grind-it-out game where both sides look to establish the run. With backup RB Mike Washington also unlikely to play, expect Jeanty to see significant volume against a run defense that has not lived up to its offseason billing. The Rams rank 26th against the run this season, allowing 127.0 yards per game, and will again be without reigning DPOY DE Myles Garrett. Look for Jeanty to see an increased workload on Sunday and return to the form we saw in the opening weeks of the campaign.
Aaron Jones Sr., MIN/RB ($6,200)
Veteran RB Aaron Jones Sr. has had a quietly strong season and has been a key piece of the Vikings’ unbeaten start through six weeks. Jones and Minnesota return from their bye week looking to stay perfect against a struggling Colts side sitting at 2-4. The 31-year-old headed into the break on the back of two consecutive 20-plus carry, 90-plus yard performances, including a season-high 25-carry, 113-yard, 1-TD outing against the Saints.
His fantasy outlook for the rest of the season could take a slight hit with RB Jordan Mason returning from a thumb injury that kept him out of the first five games. Even so, Jones appears to have firmly established himself as the lead back going forward based on his effectiveness in that role. His 21.3 carries per game will likely dip, but that may not matter against a Colts run defense that has struggled all season — allowing just under 5 yards per carry and the 27th-most fantasy points to RBs.
Matthew Golden, GNB/WR ($6,000)
We’ll pair our QB with his favorite target this season, WR Matthew Golden, who figures to be heavily involved in what projects to be a shootout. The sophomore wideout is having the breakout everyone expected after being such a highly touted prospect coming out of last year’s draft and struggling in his first season. Golden now has 30 receptions, 501 yards, and 3 TDs through six weeks, leading the team with a 25.8% target share and posting at least 12 targets in three separate games.
He faces the most generous secondary for opposing WRs, with the Lions surrendering the most passing yards per game in the league. Golden enters the NFC North showdown off a 6-catch, 104-yard, 1-TD performance last week and now has back-to-back 100-yard games. Despite dealing with a shoulder injury, he has been cleared to play and should see another high-volume day as the Packers’ WR1 in Week 7.
Jalen Coker, CAR/WR ($6,100)
Panthers WR Jalen Coker missed the final game before the bye but returned last week looking like his best self. He and QB Bryce Young have built strong chemistry over three seasons together, and last week’s season-high 13 targets demonstrated it. While Coker will continue to share looks with star WR Tetairoa McMillan, he has firmly established his own target share and keeps getting fed based on his production. He nearly matched McMillan’s snap count in his first game back from injury (59 to 60) and now has at least nine targets in three of his four games heading into Sunday.
Coker and the Panthers’ potent offense take on NFC South rivals the Buccaneers, a team whose secondary has slipped week by week. The 1-5 Bucs are now allowing 224 passing yards per game, with teams increasingly opting to throw given how well Tampa Bay’s defensive front is playing against the run. The Steelers showed the blueprint last week, with two WRs finishing with 11 receptions apiece, and Coker and McMillan are more than capable of doing something similar with how well Young has looked through his fourth season.
Keenan Allen, IND/WR ($4,800)
Veteran WR Keenan Allen continues to produce in year 14 and has stepped into an even larger role for the Colts with the injuries they have dealt with at the position. He enters Sunday on a three-game streak of nine or more targets since fellow WR Alec Pierce landed on IR and could see additional volume with TE Tyler Warren also out this week. Allen is seeing a 30% first-read share and a team-high 25% target share across those three games, though he faces a difficult matchup against the Vikings.
Brian Flores has Minnesota’s defense playing at a historic level, and they have not allowed an opposing WR to score 12 or more fantasy points since Week 1. Allen’s price reflects that challenge, but his sheer volume argues for a spot in any lineup. QB Daniel Jones will continue to lean on Allen in the short and intermediate passing game, and the dependable veteran shows no signs of slowing down. Another high-target day looks likely, and he could well lead the Colts in receptions for the season by the end of the afternoon.
Tucker Kraft, GNB/TE ($4,700)
Our final Packer for Week 7 is TE Tucker Kraft, who we will pair with his QB once again in the NFC North showdown. We are continuing to bank on Detroit’s secondary struggles, and Kraft is the ideal receiving tight end to attack the middle of the field. With so much defensive attention directed at Golden and Christian Watson, Kraft is the perfect complementary piece in this passing game and has seen a 16.7% target share behind the two star wideouts. He now gets a chance to face the defense conceding the most fantasy points per game to opposing tight ends.
Kraft’s 22% red-zone target share makes him a constant scoring threat near the goal line, but the 25-year-old has been valuable well beyond that. He is averaging 12.8 yards per catch over his last three games and has posted 50-plus receiving yards in two of those three contests. With how many yards Detroit is surrendering through the air each week, Kraft is another Green Bay player positioned for a big day based on the implied outcome of this one.
Malik Nabers, NYG/WR ($6,800)
Sophomore WR Malik Nabers has ascended to superstardom despite dealing with multiple QB changes this season. HC John Harbaugh benched veteran QB Jameis Winston for J.J. McCarthy in Sunday’s loss, and it did not slow Nabers down at all — he still finished with his third straight 100-plus yard performance, adding 29 catches and 2 TDs across those three games while dominating regardless of who is throwing him the ball.
McCarthy will start in Week 7, and he and Nabers showed immediate chemistry in their first live action together. The former Vikings draft pick connected with his WR1 four times for 95 yards in the fourth quarter against the Saints, quickly proving himself a reliable outlet heading into a tough matchup against the Texans. Despite their star-studded secondary, Houston has allowed the second-most fantasy points to WRs heading into Sunday — a big reason for their 2-4 start. Nabers is likely to avoid All-Pro DB Derrick Stingley Jr., who typically stays on the outside, while Nabers has increasingly moved into the slot. He ran 41.3% of his routes from inside last week and should continue to see more time there to sidestep a difficult outside matchup.
Jets D/ST ($2,900)
We round out our Week 7 lineup with the Jets defense, taking on AFC East rivals the Miami Dolphins. Miami arrives in Week 7 as one of two remaining winless teams in the NFL, with a season that has clearly shifted focus toward the future. After losing several key players in the offseason, many predicted a rebuild, and that is exactly what has unfolded — particularly since the season-ending knee injury to star RB De’Von Achane. Newly acquired QB Malik Willis has struggled in the role with just 2 TDs and 4 INTs while continuing to be pressured into mistakes.
The Dolphins are turning the ball over at the third-highest rate in the league, and the Jets have been trending in the right direction in that department heading into Week 7. They have forced nine fumbles this season and ended a 20-game interception drought in Week 4. With Miami averaging just 14.0 PPG and scoring the fewest TDs in the league, expect the Jets to keep that pressure going against an offense in freefall.
