This week’s edition of Sunday Night Football features an old-fashioned NFC East clash between the reeling Eagles and the Commanders.
Washington has both homefield and rest advantages at play, and Philadelphia also comes in trying to navigate the absences of Jalen Hurts and its top two receivers. Meanwhile, the Commanders lost top wideout Terry McLaurin to a knee injury in its last game before the Week 7 bye.

Without further ado, let’s dive into three player props to consider for Sunday night’s action. Don’t forget to check out our NFL betting trends page for game data and insights on the week ahead.
Eagles-Commanders Best NFL Week 8 Player Props
- Rachaad White Over 56.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
- Chig Okonkwo Over 29.5 Receiving Yards
- Makai Lemon Over 39.5 Receiving Yards
Rachaad White Over Rushing + Receiving Yards
Another key missing piece for the Commanders is No. 1 back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, who is on injured reserve due to a groin injury. That’s left White in the top backfield role, one he began filling in Week 6 against the 49ers. Game script affected White’s overall opportunities in the contest, but he found his way to 11 touches and 12 opportunities overall.
White managed 57 rushing + receiving yards, along with receiving TD, in that game, and he now could see some extra pass-catching work with McLaurin out of the picture. The Eagles have been surprisingly vulnerable to running backs as well, now allowing 4.3 yards per carry to the position after Javonte Williams compiled a career-high 155 rushing yards against them on Monday night in Week 7.
Philly has also given up a 23-137-0 receiving line to running backs, and White, who is one of the NFL’s best pass catchers out of the backfield, should have a good chance at 4-5 targets while facing an Eagles defense that will be missing starting inside linebacker Jihaad Campbell.

Chig Okonkwo Over Receiving Yards
Another player clearly in line to benefit from McLaurin’s absence the rest of the way is Okonkwo, who already checks into Sunday night with 129 combined receiving yards in the last two games before Washington’s bye. With McLaurin exiting with his injury after just seven snaps in Week 6, Okonkwo finished with a season-high seven receptions and 69 receiving yards on a season-high seven targets.
It makes sense that Okonkwo has started to hit his stride in the Commanders’ offense at this point after coming in this offseason from the Titans and then experiencing an early setback in the form of a hamstring injury that cost him Weeks 2 and 3. Okonkwo has now had extra time to build chemistry with Daniels, who missed time himself due to an elbow injury, and the duo should be busy against an Eagles defense that, as already mentioned, will be missing a talented inside linebacker.
Philly has conceded 9.7 yards per reception to tight ends, along with a 72.1% catch rate to the position. Okonkwo should have a solid opportunity to see at least 5-7 targets, leaving him with ample opportunity to secure the Over.

Makai Lemon Over Receiving Yards
We wrap up with a continuation of the same injury-based theme, except this time it’s on the Eagles side. With DeVonta Smith (hamstring) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle) both sidelined again this week, Lemon is set to reprise the No. 1 receiver role he filled for the first time against the Cowboys on Monday night. The results were solid – Lemon finished with a career-high seven catches for 67 yards and a touchdown on eight targets.
There’s no reason to expect any downsizing of his role Sunday night, especially after Lemon was clearly a favorite option of Tanner McKee versus Dallas. The Commanders are allowing 12.2 yards per catch to wide receivers, along with a 66.7% catch rate to the position. Lemon was targeted on a career-high 22.9% of his routes in Week 7, and he could be in store for a similar share this week after another week of practice with McKee.
