We’re all set for an 11-game Week 8 slate where we don’t have an International Game to kick off the day. There’s multiple marquee matchups on tap, and one of our bets stems from a Ravens-Bills showdown in which Lamar Jackson has been confirmed available to face off with Josh Allen.

Best NFL Week 8 Player Props

  • Chase Brown Over 79.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards
  • Javonte Williams Over 17.5 Rushing Attempts
  • Zay Flowers Over 80.5 Receiving Yards

Chase Brown (Bengals vs. Titans) Over Rushing Yards

Brown hasn’t exactly been very popular in DFS and betting circles of late thanks to some underwhelming performances of late, but oddsmakers doesn’t necessarily seem to concur this week. This yardage total isn’t exorbitant anyhow, but Brown could be in position to revert back to some of his early-season production when he averaged 65.7 rushing yards per contest over Weeks 1-3.

The Titans have been adequate to this point against the run, but we could see a notable downturn beginning Sunday now that their best defensive player by far, Jeffrey Simmons, has been traded to the Bears. Simmons’ absence should soften up Tennessee’s front significantly, and the Titans are already allowing 4.5 yards per rush attempt on the road.

Then, the Titans have also given up a 24-225-0 receiving line to running backs, and Brown has multiple receptions in every game while recording over 20 receiving yards in three of them. In a game where Cincinnati is a big home favorite and implied for under 30 points, it’s certainly conceivable Brown has a hand in the success.

Javonte Williams (Cowboys vs. Cardinals) Over Rushing Attempts

Williams has been the clear No. 1 back all season in Dallas, but his workload hasn’t always reflected that. The veteran back has four tallies of 12 carries or less this season, but he also has logged at least 19 rush attempts in the other three contests. That includes a season-high 25 carries in the Week 7 win over the Eagles on Monday night, when Williams turned that volume into a career-high 155 rushing yards. While he’s now on a short week after that very busy night, Williams rush-attempt prop remains relatively modest, and game script could well line up for him to exceed it.

The Cowboys are listed as solid seven-point home favorites and have a massive implied team total of 30.75 and climbing as of Saturday, so the expectation is they’ll be ahead in the second half and in a very positive game script for the run. Williams could certainly be given some time off if the game is well in hand by some point in the fourth quarter, but Arizona has been a feisty bunch even in defeat this season and vulnerable to the run – the Cards are giving up 4.3 yards per carry to running backs and 5.3 yards per rush attempt overall in the last three games.

Arizona has also faced the NFL’s sixth-highest rush play rate (46.8%) and is tied for the seventh-most running back rush attempts facilitated (169, 24.1 per game), furthering the case for Williams to hit the Over for the fourth time this season.

Zay Flowers (Ravens vs. Bills) Over Receiving Yards

Flowers has been outstanding this season irrespective of who’s been throwing him the ball, already posting three 100-yard efforts and looking like a perfect fit in Declan Doyle’s innovative, aggressive offense. Flowers is now set to get Lamar Jackson back from his ankle injury after a three-game absence, and the explosive wideout has been at his absolute best this season while playing with the two-time MVP, who may actually spend more time in the pocket than usual Sunday given he’s conceded he won’t be at 100 percent.

Flowers has averaged 101.3 receiving yards per game despite having played approximately one half in Week 1, and he has at least 84 receiving yards in four of six games overall. He has 352 of his 608 receiving yards on the season while playing with Jackson in what is essentially two-and-a-half games, and he’s now in a premium spot against a Bills team that will force the Ravens to remain proactive in the passing game and that’s been very beatable through the air as well. Buffalo checks into Week 8 having allowed an AFC-high 285.8 passing yards per game, including 317.3 in the last three, and 11.3 yards per completion per home contest.

Additionally, the Bills have facilitated an average of 12.7 yards per catch to wide receivers, and the last time Flowers faced Buffalo in Week 1 of last season, he racked up 143 yards and a touchdown on seven catches in a less innovative and aggressive offense than the one he’s now in.
