Philadelphia Eagles 2026 NFL Season Preview, Betting Markets, Odds, Picks & Predictions

The weight of expectation was a heavy burden on the Philadelphia Eagles’ shoulders in 2025. The Eagles entered the season as the reigning Super Bowl champions and had major designs on retaining their title after defeating the Chiefs 40-22 in Super Bowl LIX. Even with a few key losses, the Eagles might have had the best roster from top to bottom in the NFL and were the preseason betting favorites to win the Super Bowl.

Despite the expectations, the Eagles struggled in 2025. The offense struggled to live up to the performances of 2024, finishing the season 16th in EPA per play, per Sümer Sports. There were the obvious flashes for a team stacked with talent like Jalen Hurts, Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown, and Devonta Smith, but there was no symbiosis between the passing game and running game. When one clicked, the other suffered, and that made the Eagles a largely predictable and unexciting offense. However, the defense was still one of the best in the NFL under Vic Fangio, and was instrumental in dragging the Eagles to an 11-6 record before succumbing to the San Francisco 49ers in the Wildcard Round of the playoffs.

That underwhelming end to the season meant changes were rife throughout the organization this offseason. The Eagles moved on from first-year offensive coordinator and hired former Packers’ quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion to take over the role. Mannion will be the Eagles’ fifth offensive coordinator since 2021 and a hire that needs to stick.

The Eagles’ offense, and quarterback Jalen Hurts in particular, have come under scrutiny after the struggles of last season, and quiet trade rumors around the former Super Bowl MVP have persisted, but if Mannion can build a sufficient ecosystem around Hurts’ best traits—namely his accuracy and rushing ability—then there’ll be encouragement moving forward. But that ecosystem will exist without Brown, who was traded to the New England Patriots this offseason after a season of unrest. Brown will be a massive loss to the wide receiver room, but there’s optimism that Smith, as well as 2026 first-round pick Makai Lemon, can step up in his absence.

If there’s ample question marks about the offense, then the defense is the polar opposite, remaining as steadfast as a unit could be. Fangio’s defense is full of major players, and it might be the best unit he’s had in Philadelphia. The Eagles added cornerback Riq Woolen in free agency and traded for Vikings’ edge Jonathan Greenard to add more pop to the pass-rush that features Jalen Carter, Moro Ojomo, and Nolan Smith Jr. The defense has talent across the board and has the chance to be one of the best units in the NFL in 2026. If the offense can find its feet in 2026, the Eagles will enter the season ready to right the wrongs of a season ago.

2026 Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl Odds

The aim for this iteration of the Eagles, even as a team that’s gone through a mini transformation this offseason, should be the Super Bowl or burst. There’s too much talent, too much proof of winning under Nick Sirianni, for anything less to even be remotely satisfactory. Even in a tough NFC that features the Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks, arguably the best team in the NFL in the Los Angeles Rams, and the likes of the San Francisco 49ers, and the NFC North, the Eagles are a team to watch. There’ll be questions, naturally, about the lost talent on the offense in A.J. Brown, but the offensive line is still an elite unit, and if Barkley can look anything close to his 2024 self, the running game will be in a much better shape. A lot hangs on the playcalling and how Hurts will respond in another new offense, but at +1600, the Eagles have the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl, and feel like one of the best teams in the NFL on talent alone. They’re always in the mix.

Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship Odds

The Eagles’ recent record in the NF Championship Game is impeccable. Since 2017, the Eagles have been to the NFC Championship three times and have won all three games, and they’ve been there twice in the last four seasons. This Eagles team, with Jalen Hurts under center and Nick Sirianni as head coach, knows how to win, and they know how to make waves in the postseason. The Eagles +820 odds to win the NFC are third-best in the conference behind the two NFC West powerhouses, the Rams and the Seahawks, and with sound reason. It’s a bet on an excellent defense, but also a resurgence for an offense looking to find its groove under Sean Mannion. The Eagles aren’t the best team in the NFC, but by the season’s end there’s no reason they can’t be. As always, the Eagles will be in the hunt to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl

2026 Philadelphia Eagles NFC East Odds

For the first time in twenty years, the NFC East had a back-to-back winner in 2025. After their Super Bowl triumph and division win in 2024, the Eagles comfortably waltzed to their second consecutive NFC East crown in 2025. The Eagles didn’t make it easy on themselves, finishing with an 11-6 record that featured a three-game losing streak in the back half of the season. Fortunately for the Eagles, the rest of the division made their job a little easier. The Eagles finished with a disappointing 3-3 record in divisional games, but entered the preseason with +115 odds to win the division for the third successive season. Making amends for their .500 record in divisional games in 2026 will go a long way to living up to their expectations.

2026 Philadelphia Eagles Win Total Odds

The Eagles’ win line for the 2026 NFL season currently sits at 10.5 wins. That’s reasonable for a team that won 11 games in 2025 and hasn’t won fewer than 11 games since 2021—Hurts’ first season as the Eagles’ starting quarterback. Winning 11 games is a tough task in today’s NFL, even with the extra game on the schedule, but the Eagles will benefit from the easiest first-place schedule in the league. Their opponents had a combined winning percentage of .481% in 2025, which means the Eagles have the 10th-easiest schedule in 2026. Exceeding their win total is no guarantee, but a favorable schedule and one of the strongest rosters in the league means the Eagles have a good chance of winning 11 games or more for the fifth-straight season—the second-longest streak behind the Buffalo Bills.

2026 Philadelphia Eagles To Make The Playoffs Odds

The Philadelphia Eagles don’t miss the playoffs. Since 2017, when the team won the Super Bowl under Doug Pederson, the Eagles have missed the postseason just once—back in 2020 when they finished with a 4-11 record and ended their association with former No. 1 pick Carson Wentz. The chances of that happening again in 2026 are crucially low. The Eagles have -186 odds to make the playoffs in 2026—the seventh-best odds in the NFL—and for good reason. Already the favorites for the NFC East, as well as one of the top picks to win the Super Bowl, the Eagles’ journey back to the promised land starts with making the postseason. Even with some question marks, they’ll likely be playing January football once again but are not affordable in this market.

2026 Philadelphia Eagles MVP Award Odds & Contenders

  • Jalen Hurts
  • Saquon Barkley
  • Jalen Carter

The Eagles have had considerable team success in the last 10 years, but haven’t had an MVP winner since Norm Van Brocklin all of the way back in 1960. That’s far too long for a team like the Philadelphia Eagles. Hurts finished second in MVP voting back in 2022, and Barkley finished third in 2024 after leading the league with 2005 rushing yards—becoming just the ninth player to surpass 2000 rushing yards in a single season. The chances of Barkley sniffing around the MVP award in 2026 are increasingly slim, so the burden likely falls to franchise quarterback Jalen Hurts. The former second-round pick’s status as a top-ten quarterback in the league has never been in more jeopardy, and yet another new offensive coordinator will likely mean growing pains, but Hurts has still put up effective numbers and helped the Eagles navigate their consistent success in recent seasons. If he finds his feet early, and the Eagles live up to their promises, Hurts could finally end the Eagles’ long MVP drought.

Bet: Jalen Hurts
