Home Run Prop Predictions & Odds: MLB HR Best Bets for Sunday, July 19

Juan Soto Home Run Odds

Juan Soto is currently slashing .288/.408/.555 with 21 home runs in 342 plate appearances. This includes an impressive 13.2% strikeout rate with a 14.6% barrel rate. Soto has three homers in his last nine games.

Up next is a favorable matchup against Phillies’ right-hander Adam Rangel, who is giving up a 1.40 HR/9 on the season. Soto has a 182 wRC+ against righties this season, so this is a great spot.

Add in the fact that this game is in a hitter-friendly environment like Citizens Bank Park, and you can see why this is an appealing wager.

With that in mind, we’ll ride with Soto to hit his 22nd homer of the season. Risk 0.1 units.

Bobby Witt Jr. Home Run Odds

Bobby Witt Jr. is currently slashing .280/.350/.451 with 13 home runs in 412 plate appearances. He’s kept his strikeout rate in check at 17.5%, while maintaining a rock-solid 11.7% barrel rate.

Witt Jr. only has one home run since June 30th, but I’ll take a shot on him today.

For one, this is at a hitter’s park in Kauffman Stadium. It’s a projected high-scoring game, which is reflected in the 10-run total.

On top of that, you have to love the matchup against Padres’ right-hander German Marquez, who has a 5.67 xERA and a 2.16 HR/9 this season. Marquez allowed two home runs vs. the Blue Jays in his last outing.

Considering these factors, we’ll ride with Witt Jr. to hit his 14th homer of the season. Risk 0.1 units.

Cal Raleigh Home Run Odds

Cal Raleigh is having a disastrous season, slashing .165/.271/.302 with nine home runs in 288 plate appearances. His strikeout rate has jumped from 26.7% to 31.9%, while his barrel rate has plummeted from 19.5% to 10.7%.

With that said, I’m a big believer in track record. It’s only a matter of time before Raleigh gets it going. Even if we remove last year’s outlier 60-homer season, Raleigh still had 34 and 30 homers in the previous two years.

While he hasn’t homered since July 4th, I’ll take my chances in this spot against Giants’ left-hander Robbie Ray, who has a 4.62 xERA and a 1.27 HR/9 on the season.

Raleigh has a .476 career ISO against lefties, so this is a favorable spot for him.

With that in mind, we’ll take Raleigh to hit No. 10 on the season here. Risk 0.1 units.
