Top Prediction Market Trades: Best World Cup Trades for Friday, June 26
Norway/France Both Teams to Score: Yes (0.58¢ at Kalshi)
Here we have a match that may be one of the most exciting of the tournament so far. These two teams have combined for 13 goals in two games.
Both teams have already advanced to the knockout rounds, but Norway can lock in 1st place in Group I with a win here, while France only needs a draw.
Even if Norway loses, they’ll remain in second place, so they really have nothing to lose here. They can push forward for the chance at a statement win over the tournament favorite. That creates an ideal game environment for goals, making Both Teams to Score: Yes look like an appealing buy.
Senegal to Win By More Than 1.5 Goals vs. Iraq: Yes (0.58¢ at Kalshi)
Senegal is in a must-win situation after losing to both France and Norway to start their tournament. This is a quality side who is simply the victim of a difficult group.
Iraq has lost 4-1 and 3-0 so far, getting completely dominated by France and Norway. They have nothing to play for but pride here. It’s going to be like a home crowd for them in Toronto.
However, Senegal is the better team. Not only do they have to win, but they’re incentivized to run up the score to improve their goal differential, since three points alone may not be enough to see them through. With that in mind, buying into Senegal to win by 2+ goals looks like the smart move here.
Cabo Verde to Win vs Saudi Arabia (0.39¢ at Kalshi)
Cabo Verde has been one of the remarkable stories of the tournament so far, earning draws against both Spain and Uruguay. While they could draw vs. Saudi Arabia to advance to the next round, a win would lock them in.
It’s definitely a winnable game, especially with the Saudis coming off a 4-0 blowout loss vs. Spain.
I like the value on the team that has looked better throughout the tournament, as we’re able to get Cabo Verde to win at an appealing price, making them worth a look here.
Uruguay/Spain Both Teams to Score: Yes (0.50¢ at Kalshi)
Uruguay is on the brink of elimination following draws against Saudi Arabia and Cabo Verde. They can advance with a draw, and if Cabo Verde draws as well, but it’s not guaranteed.
Spain hasn’t locked up 1st in Group H yet, but they can do so with a draw. But with Uruguay pushing forward, looking for a win, there could be goals in this game.
La Roja will want 1st to avoid facing Argentina in the Round of 32. With that in mind, Both Teams to Score: Yes looks like the right play in this spot.
Belgium to Win By More Than 1.5 Goals vs New Zealand: No (0.35¢ at Kalshi)
Here we have an interesting spot, where we can get New Zealand +1.5 at a terrific price. The Kiwis have been pesky in this tournament, holding second-half leads vs. Iran and Egypt before only getting one point from those games.
Belgium has been rather disappointing, fresh off a 0-0 draw vs. Iran. The Red Devils can advance with a draw here, but New Zealand needs a win.
I can see the Kiwis putting a scare into Belgium here. It wouldn’t surprise me to see this match end in a draw, but we’re able to get New Zealand +1.5 at only 35 cents, which looks like terrific value.
Iran to Win vs. Egypt (0.25¢ at Kalshi)
With Egypt cementing a spot in the knockout rounds for the first time following a dramatic comeback win over New Zealand, this feels like a letdown spot vs. Iran.
Iran can advance with a draw here, but a win would lock it in with a chance at even getting 1st in Group G.
Expect this to be a low-scoring match that can go either way. I’m fading Egypt here because it really feels like a letdown followig the high of that win over New Zealand. At only 25 cents, the value looks great.
