NFL Super Bowl MVP Odds: Kenneth Walker Takes Home The Trophy
The Seattle Seahawks defeated the New England Patriots, 29-13, in Super Bowl 60 and Kenneth Walker was named MVP, becoming the first running back in 28 years to earn the honor and cashing in for bettors who backed him at +600 or longer to win the award.
The Super Bowl MVP odds market favored quarterbacks per usual, with Sam Darnold (+115) ahead of Drake Maye (+230) to correspond with Seattle (-4.5) being favored on the point spread. There were interesting markets on the field (-155) vs. Darnold and any non-quarterback (+195) to win Super Bowl MVP.
Quarterbacks have won 7 of the past 10 Super Bowl MVP awards with wide receivers taking the other two in that span. The last defensive player to win Super Bowl MVP was Von Miller in Super Bowl 50. When the Seahawks dominated the Broncos, 43-8, to win Super Bowl 48, linebacker Malcolm Smith won MVP as a rare long shot.
Super Bowl Futures for the 2026-27 season are available and Super Bowl 61 MVP odds will be made available next winter.
NFL Super Bowl MVP Odds
Prior to the NFC Championship, Sam Darnold (+460) had the second shortest odds to win Super Bowl MVP. Darnold played very well against the Rams and his odds have shortened throughout the week leading up to the Super Bowl, dropping from +125 to +115 as a consensus number.
Drake Maye sat at +750 prior to the AFC Championship and did not have much success throwing the ball in tough conditions at Denver. At 23 years old, Maye could become the youngest QB to win the award and tie two other players (Marcus Allen and Lynn Swann) as the only 23-year-olds to be named SB MVP.
