Ladd McConkey Week 16 Anytime Touchdown (LAC vs. DEN)

  • All players have plus odds to score a touchdown at bet365 in this divisional game with an over/under line of 42 points. McConkey is a good bet to find the end zone on volume alone since he’s accounted for 38.5% of the targets for Chargers receivers over his last four games. The rookie is moving all over the formation and should avoid shadow coverage from elite Broncos cornerback Pat Surtain II, instead matching up on slot corner Ja’Quan McMillan or backup corner Kris Abrams-Draine with Riley Moss (knee) still out. Neither of these defenses has given up many rushing touchdowns, and Denver is allowing the fourth-highest percentage (70.8%) of opponent touchdowns to come via the pass. Many of those scores have gone to tight ends, but Chargers first-string tight end Will Dissly (shoulder) is out again.

Javonte Williams Week 16 Anytime Touchdown (DEN @ LAC)

  • While he hasn’t drawn a red zone touch in consecutive games, Williams has regained his footing as the lead back for the Broncos with rookie Audric Estime logging just 26 snaps as Williams has handled 102 snaps over Denver’s last three games. Broncos receiving back Jaleel McLaughlin (knee) has been ruled out for Week 16. Bo Nix has thrown for four touchdowns and five interceptions — and the Broncos’ defense has scored thrice — over the team’s last two games, creating extreme variance that has prevented Williams from getting touches near the goal line. That could change in a divisional matchup that should feature conservative play calling. The Chargers’ defense has sprung leaks lately, allowing a healthy 5.5 yards per play to opponents over the team’s last three games. The Broncos could move the ball into the red zone and feed their powerful 220-pound back to finish drives.

Courtland Sutton Week 16 Anytime Touchdown (DEN @ LAC)

  • With a 25.6% target share, Sutton is clearly the top option for Bo Nix this season, and that number increases to a 31.6% target share in the red zone. He’s garnered at least 100 air yards in three straight games and scored three touchdowns in that span. Chargers cornerbacks have been great this season but had a few coverage lapses last week against the Bucs, yielding three long touchdown receptions to Mike Evans and Jalen McMillan. Sutton has grabbed four of his six receiving touchdowns on the road this season.

Justin Herbert Week 16 Anytime Touchdown (LAC vs. DEN)

  • Herbert has been running far more often this season, with 54 carries for 224 yards and two touchdowns. His yardage has been quite modest over his last three games (13 yards), but that doesn’t mean he won’t scramble near the goal line in this contest. With the Chargers struggling to run the ball near the goal line, Herbert dropped back four times in the red zone against the Bucs. He’s a threat to take off on any similar dropbacks against a Broncos defense that is very good in coverage and plays a high percentage of man, which allows quarterbacks to get loose. Of course, the 6-foot-6, 235-pound Herbert is also a threat to finish drives with a quarterback sneak.
