Best NBA Friday Props

  • Derrick White Over 23.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists
  • Pascal Siakam Over 31.5 Points + Rebounds
  • Cooper Flagg Over 35.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists

Derrick White (Celtics vs. Bulls) Over Points + Rebounds + Assists

White is off to a typically solid start, and although he’s seen a downturn in scoring early in the new season thanks to a drop in usage, he’s partly offsetting that with more efficient shooting when he does put the ball up. The veteran point guard is draining 44.2% of his shots from the field thus far, a middling figure that’s nevertheless an improvement on the career-worst 39.4% he shot last season.

White is also facilitating at a career-best clip, averaging a career-high 6.3 assists per contest while also pulling down 4.0 rebounds per game. He took only four shots against the Bulls at United Center on Monday, but he’s otherwise put up at least 11 shot attempts in Boston’s other three contests. Chicago does present a very appealing matchup on paper as well, allowing an NBA-high 38.4 offensive efficiency rating to point guards, along with 50.5% shooting, including an NBA-high 53.2% success rate from three-point range.

White is 2-2 to the Over on this prop thus far, but the home matchup against such a vulnerable backcourt sets him up for a good shot at cashing this prop.

Original Line Publish: 23.5

Pascal Siakam (Pacers vs. Heat) Over Points + Rebounds

Siakam is once again spearheading the Pacers’ efforts in the first week-plus of the new season, averaging a typically well-rounded 24.0 points (on career-best 55.3% shooting), 8.4 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest. Siakam is shooting 38.1% from three-point range as well, displaying his usual floor-spacing prowess. He now draws a matchup against a Heat team that finally just won its first game, but that’s struggled defensively pretty much across the board.

Miami is allowing 124.0 points per home game over its three Kaseya Center contests thus far, as well as 48.4% shooting. The Heat also ranks in the bottom 10 of the league in rebounds (59.0) and assists (28.3) per home game surrendered, and Siakam also had PRA tallies of 45 and 47 in two of three regular-season games against Miami last season.

To top it off, the Heat is surrendering a league-high 52.6% success from rate from deep to power forwards over its first five game, giving the Over even more appeal in this case.

Original Line Publish: 31.5

Cooper Flagg (Mavericks vs. Rockets) Over Points + Rebounds + Assists

Fresh off his Rookie of the year honors, Flagg already looks like a leading MVP candidate through his first four games. Heading into the season, the prevailing thought was that finally having the opportunity to play alongside Kyrie Irving was going to benefit Flagg in a multitude of ways, and Flagg’s current line of 25.3 points (on 52.2% shooting), 6.8 assists, 5.3 rebounds, 2.8 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest certainly seems to bear that out.

Flagg should be set for another busy night Friday against the intrastate-rival Rockets, who he already hung 39 points + rebounds + assists on over 33 minutes back on Opening Night, a game in which he sent 10-for-17 from the field and 11-for-13 from the free-throw line. The Rockets also rank No. 19 in offensive efficiency rating allowed to small forwards (23.6) and are surrendering 48.8% shooting to the position, and Flagg also had one effort of 51 points + rebounds + assists against Houston last season as a rookie without Irving around to draw defensive attention.

Dallas also has an implied team total of 117 points for Friday’s game, another sign Flagg should have plenty of opportunity to pile up both points and assists.
