DraftKings Launches Basketball Brotherhood Contest Presented by NETFLIX

Get Ready to Heist Some of the Prize Pool in DraftKing’s Basketball Brotherhood Free-Play

DraftKings continually shows their appreciation for the more than 10 million fans they have gained as a leader in daily fantasy sports. DFS enthusiasts can play any of the hundreds of contests with entry fees, but no one should miss out on the freebies. The latest free-play on DraftKings is the Basketball Brotherhood contest.

This is an NBA contest presented by NetFlix to promote their new movie, Triple Frontier. Ben Affleck, Oscar Isaac, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund, and Pedro Pascal star in the NetFlix original thriller that is due out on March 13. Every DraftKings account has a chance to take advantage of a chance to win cash prizes as part of this latest NetFlix/DraftKings joint promotion.

Entry and Prize Pool

Entering a lineup is simple. You can either wait until the actual night of the contest, or reserve a spot ahead of time. The contest pool is unlimited, so everyone can grab themselves a single spot. Since there are no multi-entry options, you’ll be playing against only one lineup of the best three-point gunners for each entry.

There is a guaranteed total prize pool of $10,000. The DFS lineup that puts together the best roster of the NBA basketball brotherhood of three-point marksmen, will take home a $500 payout. The rest of the cash pool will be split among the next highest scoring lineups, all the way down to a dollar for place 2,001 to 6,160.

Lineups and Scoring

Lineups are pretty straight forward, five players. One thing to keep in mind is that your Basketball Brotherhood lineup needs to include a player from each of these five normal positions, PG, SG, SF, PF, and C.

Since they don’t shoot as many treys, every entry will be trying to nail down the best post players and swingmen. That’s the only points awarded, three-pointers made, and they each count three-points. The player pool will come from all NBA contests scheduled for the date of that contest.

You can pick any players you want to fill your lineup card, keeping your final roster under the $50,000 salary cap limit. You’ll want to use that salary cap wisely, as the only way to generate points is via the three-point shot. Every trey your players hit, counts three-points toward your final total.

The plot for Triple Frontier involves a cast of former Special Forces operatives who join forces to try to pull off a dangerous robbery in a South American country. You can put together the best lineup of three-point bombers on DraftKing’s Basketball Brotherhood, and pull off your own cash heist.
