Indiana Pacers vs. Golden State Warriors 1/28/19: Starting Lineups, Matchup Breakdown, Odds, Daily Fantasy, Betting
Indiana Pacers vs. Golden State Warriors Preview
In an interconference matchup between two of the league’s top-ranked teams, the Indiana Pacers (32-16) host the red-hot Golden State Warriors (35-14) at Bankers Life Fieldhouse tonight. This likely would have been a much bigger game before Victor Oladipo suffered a season-ending injury last week.
The Pacers have lost their most recent game and are 6-4 in their last 10. They are currently one game ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers for third in the East. The Warriors have been on an absolute tear and are the league’s hottest team, winning their last ten straight games and are perched atop the Western Conference.
This will be the first meeting of the teams this season, with Indiana taking the last game of the season series last year on April 5, with Bojan Bogdanovic scoring 28 points to outpoint Kevin Durant’s 27.

Pacers Analysis
The Indiana Pacers have quite a challenge in front of them without their injured star Victor Oladipo. They struggled out of the gates without Oladipo against one of the lesser teams in the NBA in the Memphis Grizzlies, who seem to be in the middle of a fire sale.
Oladipo is arguably the Pacers’ best offensive and defensive player, so his loss is a big one to recover from. The Pacers inserted Tyreke Evans into the starting lineup, but he struggled in the 103-106 loss to the Grizzlies with just nine points. One player the Pacers desperately need to step up in Oladipo’s absence is forward Thaddeus Young, who managed just eight points.
Darren Collison, who has been solid for the Pacers for a few weeks now, had 18 points and nine assists, and Domantas Sabonis and Cory Joseph came off the bench to score in double digits. Bojan Bodanovic continues on his career year with the Pacers, and he had 21 against the Grizzlies. They’ll need him to continue to shoulder a big portion of the scoring load for the rest of the season.

Warriors Analysis
Any talks about inner turmoil or the Warriors not looking as good this season have no flown out the window as the Warriors have won their last 10 and have seemingly seamlessly integrated DeMarcus Cousins into the offense.
In a close 115-111 win over the Celtics on Saturday, Kevin Durant led the team with 33 points and nine rebounds, and Stephen Curry danced as his threes were falling through the net on his way to 24 points.
Cousins, who is still not playing full-time minutes just yet, finished the game with 15 points and eight rebounds in just 23 minutes. If this is the way he’s playing in limited playing time, you can only imagine what this Warriors team will look like when he gets back to full strength. He has put on a show with his perimeter shooting and has been getting out on breaks to finish at the rim.
There are a few challenges to their win streak ahead on their schedule if the Pacers can’t pose a challenge tonight. They’ll have games with the 76ers, S, urs and Lakers, who could have LeBron James back by then looming.

DeMarcus Cousins ($7.2k) has had his salary come up a bit recently so he’s still at the edge of being a value player, but he is slated for a 35.28 point night. For the Pacers, look to Bojan Bogdanovic ($5.7k) who should provide 27.73 fantasy points tonight.
