Suns Analysis
The Phoenix Suns struggled to keep up with the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday night without Devin Booker. Josh Jackson did well stepping into the starting lineup with 17 points and six rebounds, and T.J. Warren also played well.
The Suns were on the second game of a back-to-back, and rookie center DeAndre Ayton struggled in limited minutes. He and fellow rookies Mikal Bridges and De’Anthony Melton only scored a combined 16 points.
One encouraging sign for the Suns is that Kelly Oubre Jr. has played well, with his best two games coming in the last two since arriving in Phoenix. He had 26 points in a win against Sacramento and then added 14 points against Dallas.

Nuggets Analysis
The Nuggets are looking for their third straight win after their previous five-game win streak was snapped by the Houston Rockets.
Denver eked out a 103-99 win against the Heat but had a big 121-100 win over the high-scoring Los Angeles Clippers.
Against the Clippers, Denver’s defense limited Marcin Gortat, Avery Bradley, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Patrick Beverley.
Nikola Jocic had yet another triple-double with 18 points, 14 rebounds, and 10 assists, and he had several highlight-worthy passes giving him a case for being the best passing big man in the league.
Gary Harris is listed as questionable for tonight’s game, and Will Barton has still not made his return. Denver is already the top team in the West and when they get those two players back, the rest of the league has plenty to fear when they see a very deep Nuggets team on their schedule.
