Warriors Analysis
Aside from a loss to the Philadelphia 76ers, the Golden State Warriors have been on a hot streak as of late, and they’ll hope to continue their winning ways on the road in Phoenix tonight.
In their last game, the Warriors blasted the undermanned San Antonio Spurs 141-102. While the Spurs hung around for a quarter and a half with LaMarcus Aldridge and DeMar DeRozan sitting out, it was only a matter of time before the Warriors would take over. A 49-point third quarter cemented it and then Golden State ratcheted up the defense, limiting San Antonio to 19 fourth-quarter points to secure the win.
With the game put away early, none of the Warriors had to play heavy minutes, so they should be well-rested for tonight’s game. Klay Thompson led the Warriors in scoring with 26 points and Kevin Durant had 23 points, nine assists, and eight rebounds in just 29 minutes. DeMarcus Cousins, who has been limited to around 25 minutes per game, played just 17 on Wednesday night, but still left his impact with 15 points and six rebounds.
The Warriors have been one of the better road teams in the NBA this season and have won their last 10 road games with a chance to extend that to 11 tonight.

Suns Analysis
The Phoenix Suns will be looking a bit different tonight as they made a trade deadline deal acquiring guard Tyler Johnson from Miami in exchange for Ryan Anderson. The Suns are no doubt better after this trade as they get a regular rotation player capable of putting up big numbers for a little-used forward.
In their last game, the Suns lost by 28 points to the 31-24 Utah Jazz. In the game, Suns forward Josh Jackson had another big game. Jackson, who many were calling a bust, has been on a tear as of late, reaching double digits in scoring in nine of his last 10 games. Against the Jazz, he finished with 27 points, seven assists, and five steals.
Devin Booker, who sat out against the Jazz, is questionable tonight. If he plays, Suns fans could get a nice look at what the Johnson/Booker lineup could mean for the Suns moving forward. Johnson can play both guard positions and has the skillset to be a distributor or a scorer if he needs to step in for Booker or play alongside him.
Suns rookie center DeAndre Ayton had his best game since returning to the court for the Suns recently. He finished the game with 20 points and nine rebounds, but he’ll have his hands full with Cousins tonight.
