Sacramento Kings vs. Denver Nuggets Preview
The Denver Nuggets (24-11) hit the road to California to face the Sacramento Kings (19-18) at the Golden 1 Center tonight as they look to keep their winning streak alive in a battle between two Western Conference opponents.
Denver will be looking to grab their fourth straight win and come into the contest as winners of three straight and three of their last four overall. The most recent was a 115-108 victory over the New York Knicks at the Pepsi Center as Nikola Jokic posted a triple-double with 19 points, 14 rebounds, and 15 assists.
Sacramento is looking to snap a two-game losing streak after falling to the Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers. Buddy Hield had 27 points for the Kings in their loss to Portland but it was not enough to win the first game of 2019.

Sacramento Kings Starting Lineup
For the Kings, they are working to get back into the playoffs and currently sit a game and a half behind the San Antonio Spurs for eighth in the Western Conference. Sacramento did not have a good start to the year as they fell to Portland at home.
Sacramento has a good young core that, with time, will be able to compete in the West. Led by Buddy Heild, De’Aaron Fox and Willie-Caulie Stein, the Kings will look to shake off the losing streak and get back on track to begin 2019.
Bogdan Bogdanovic has continued to play well for the Kings off the bench. Things won’t get any easier for Sacramento. After tonight’s game against Denver, they play Golden State on Saturday.
Denver Nuggets Starting Lineup
Despite some injuries to some of their major players, the Nuggets have played pretty good basketball and come into the game first in the Western Conference. Denver leads the Golden State Warriors by a half-game and the Oklahoma City Thunder by a 1.5 game for the top spot in the West.
Denver has proven they are still a dangerous team thanks to the play of Jokic and Jamal Murray. The Nuggets got Paul Millsap back from injury just before the new year and he looks to help them solidify their position at the top of the West.
Having Gary Harris back also helps, and Will Barton should be on his way back to the lineup soon. Expect Millsap and Harris to still be on limited minutes tonight.
Sacramento Kings vs. Denver Nuggets Betting Odds
The Denver Nuggets are -3.5 point favorites to win tonight’s game on the road and extend their win streak. The over/under is set at 227 points. There’s been some movement on the moneyline, with the Nuggets opening at -145 and currently live at -165.
The Nuggets are 57-81 on the road and 88-46 as the favorite. Sacramento is 58-82 at home and 70-145 as the underdog.
