2026 Travelers Championship Odds, Picks, Predictions: Best Bets, Props, OAD
One more time, the PGA Tour kicks it up a notch with the final signature event of the season. The Travelers Championship at TPC River Highlands was built to host high-octane tournaments, even if modern technology has begun to pass this 6,800-yard venue by. There are so many memorable risk-reward holes on this course, and between the field, the fans, and the history of climactic finishes, I could not be more excited to watch (and bet on Travelers Championship odds).
Though intended to be a positional venue like Pete Dye’s other works, like TPC Sawgrass and Harbour Town, longer hitters have started to find an edge at TPC River Highlands, in turn pushing winning scores closer to -20 over recent years. That’s docile for a par-70 with just two par-5s, so wedge play and putting are two areas I’m honing in on specifically to find contenders. How I Built My Travelers Championship Betting Card
I had to deliberate whether or not to delve into the “Without Scheffler” markets this week. The World No. 1 showed he can rebound from a grueling major showing quickly when taking down the Travelers Championship two years ago in a playoff over Tom Kim. Scottie Scheffler continues to look great, but short of dominant, this 2026 season, so until we see him crank it up to a higher gear, I’m ready to take him head-on. Ultimately, this isn’t a course that highlights Scheffler’s strengths. And as TPC River Highlands continues to cede lower scores, that should welcome more parity from longshots in trending ball-striking form to have a spike week. From a unit allocation standpoint, it’s back to business as usual for my weekly stake at the 2026 Travelers Championship.

Travelers Championship Odds: Outright Bets (3.5 units)
Sam Burns
My Bet: +2500
The hottest player on the PGA Tour who is most due for a win in 2026 is none other than Sam Burns. He should leave Shinnecock Hills feeling confident in his game and ready to turn the page after falling one stroke shy of Wyndham Clark at the US Open. That marked his second top-5 finish over his last three starts, a credit to his severely improved iron play. Burns also ranks No. 1 in the field SG: Putting, and top-10 in SG: Approach, Birdies or Better Gained, Driving Distance, and Bogey Avoidance. That should lead to plenty of scoring opportunities around TPC River Highlands. A top-15 finisher earlier this season at other positional venues like TPC Sawgrass, Harbour Town, and Pebble Beach, Burns’ game continues to evolve with each passing week.
Justin Thomas
My Bet: +2900
A healthy Justin Thomas is a welcome sight for the game of golf, and he has exceeded all expectations with his return to form post-back surgery this season. Leading into the US Open, Thomas had sustained a streak of four consecutive top-20 finishes, including a season-best T4 at the PGA Championship. A shift to limited fields at The Travelers Championship seems to have gotten the competitive juices flowing for Thomas again here. He had just one top-10 finish over his first seven Travelers Championship appearances, but has now finished top-10 in each of his last three. Thomas has an excellent track record on Pete Dye tracks that reward an aggressive style of play and crafty short game around nuanced greens complexes. His two most recent PGA Tour wins have come on Dye’s Harbour Town Golf Links and TPC Sawgrass.
Russell Henley
My Bet: +3400
TPC River Highlands is one of the shortest courses on the PGA Tour, which therefore means we will see ample wedge shots into these small greens. Whenever that’s the case, Henley’s name should always be in consideration, as he has established himself as the preeminent approach player from inside 150 yards over the last five years. Henley has already picked up a win this season on a short, positional venue at the Charles Schwab Challenge, his fourth top-10 finish already in 2026. From a comp course perspective, his wedge play has carried him to top-25 finishes at Pete Dye’s Harbour Town, TPC Sawgrass, and Stadium Course already this season. A runner-up finisher at this event last year with five career top-20 finishes at the Travelers Championship, Henley is positioned well to contend again this week.
Ben Griffin
My Bet: +5100
“Good” players like Griffin can often go overlooked in these limited-field Signature Events. While Griffin can typically be found as a top-10 favorite whenever he tees it up, he’s more of a middle-of-the-pack contender when all of the game’s best converge. That comes with a price discount, however, so I see this as a very interesting spot to buy low. It may feel like a crash back to reality for Griffin after a surging 3-win season in 2025, but his form has been great recently nonetheless. He’s finished top-20 in five of his last seven starts, including top-3 finishes at the Charles Schwab Challenge and Cadillac Championship over that span. Griffin’s game is best suited for wedge-heavy birdie fests that allow him to flex his strengths on approach and putting. That combination has translated well for him at TPC River Highlands already, finishing T14 at this event last year.
Sahith Theegala
My Bet:+7000
The Sahith Theegala experience is not for the faint of heart, but he continues to hint at signs of his full potential with each passing week. No one was better than Theegala from tee to green at Shinneocock Hills last week, but a cold putter relegated him to a T11 finish. Theegala is a great long-term putter, however, so I won’t be surprised to see him bounce back on the greens at TPC River Highlands, where he has gained in SG: Putting in three of his first four appearances. Theegala was in great position to pick up his first career PGA Tour win at this event in 2022, but met his demise when catching the lip of the fairway bunker on his approach into the 18th green. He’ll have his sights set on redemption this week, entering in great overall form with just one missed cut in 2026.
Ryan Fox
My Bet:+11600
The Kiwi’s game continues to mature with each passing year of stateside experience on the PGA Tour. Once a pure bomber mainly suitable for easy-scoring venues with forgiving landing areas, Fox has made significant improvements to his approach play and short game. A two-time winner on the PGA Tour in 2025, Fox has looked even better in 2026 from a total strokes gained standpoint. He’s now finished top-35 in each of his last four starts and ranks top-20 in SG: APP and SG: P over that period. TPC River Highlands may not be the first course that comes to mind when you think of Ryan Fox, but he had no issue navigating Pete Dye’s course in his debut last year, finishing T17. Fox also finished T16 in his most recent visit to a positional Pete Dye venue at the RBC Heritage, and looks poised to chase another top-20 finish on the strength of his iron game.
Travelers Championship Bets: First-Round Leader (0.5 units)
Ben Griffin
My Bet: +4500
With short iron approach play and putting the calling cards of his game, Griffin is always a threat to go low on a short and scorable venue like TPC River Highlands. He’ll enter in great form, with five top-20 finishes over his last seven starts.
Aaron Rai
My Bet:+4600
I, of course, will always bet Aaron Rai First Round Leader whenever he tees it up, but I feel especially confident in him to get off to a hot start in a week where a lack of distance is not a disadvantage. Rai is in excellent form at the moment, and TPC River Highlands should produce ample wedge shots for him.
Sahith Theegala
My Bet: +5500
Theegala’s form continues to trend upward, fresh off a T11 finish at the US Open, where he led the field in SG: T2G. This should be a bit of a comfort course for Theegala, who came up one stroke shy of winning the Travelers Championship in 2022.
Eric Cole
My Bet: +6000
Eric Cole was a first-round co-leader last time we saw him tee it up at the RBC Canadian Open, and appears to be in complete control of his game now with four top-10s over his last six starts. Like many of the other players on my card this week, Cole makes up for his lack of distance with elite wedge play and spike putting upside.

Full Tournament Matchup: Justin Thomas over Wyndham Clark
My Bet: -118
It can be dangerous to bet against Wyndham Clark in the midst of what may be the biggest heater of his career, but the figurative and literal hangover that comes after winning a major championship can be a real concern. Clark’s wins at Shinnecock and TPC Craig Ranch this season bear in common generous landing areas for a driver-heavy approach. That game plan will not be as fruitful at Pete Dye’s TPC River Highlands, which often takes the driver out of hand in favor of positioning. I’m high on Justin Thomas’ form and fit at TPC River Highlands, and he’s had the better long-term history at the Travelers Championship, with a streak of three consecutive top-10 finishes here.
Top-10 Finish: Justin Thomas
My Bet: +280
Speaking of Justin Thomas, his current form does not give me any reason to doubt he can stretch that streak to four consecutive top-10 finishes at the Travelers Championship. A top-10 bet is not as daunting in a limited field of 72 players, and with six consecutive top-25 finishes leading in, Thomas appears to be in complete control of his game now.
Top-20 Finish: Ryan Fox
My Bet: +315
One of the most under-the-radar players in this Signature Event field, Fox has quietly strung together a run of six top-35 finishes over his last seven starts. He’s leaned on the strength of his approach play and putting over that stretch, which are the two biggest keys to scoring around TPC River Highlands. He’s 1/1 in career top-20 finishes at the Travelers Championship as well, finishing T17 in his 2025 debut here.
One & Done
My Pick: Sam Burns
Sam Burns It was a tough decision for me between Justin Thomas and Sam Burns, but I ultimately decided to ride with the hotter hand, as Burns has proven to be the more streaky player over the course of his career. His form has been good historically at TPC River Highlands, finishing top-25 in three of his last five visits. With this being the final Signature Event of the 2026 season, there’s no reason to get cute with your OAD selection now. I’m siding with the first player on my betting card, and one of the hottest players in this field with two top-5 finishes over his last three starts. If not Burns, I would also consider playing Justin Thomas, Ben Griffin, or Keegan Bradley in OAD.
