Recap

Last Slate: 0-4

All-Time: 21-29

Looking back at last night, Tobias Harris fell short by one point on his 21.5 point over. Nikola Vucevic struggled to get his shot going, scoring just 12 points, as he needed 23. Toronto played on and off basketball, and Kawhi Leonard did not hit over 1.5 threes made. Jusuf Nurkic was used as a passer in his game against Memphis, falling short of 14.5 points.

Boston Celtics @ Sacramento Kings

Al Horford OVER 13.5 Points (-118)

Al Horford played just 22 minutes last night against Golden State, and there isn’t much concern on the back-to-back tonight. He gets Sacramento, who rank 22nd in defensive efficiency against centers. Horford has a couple of duds, but a lot of that has been because of Boston’s overall struggles and recent blowouts. Despite those games, Horford is averaging 15 points per game in the second half so far, and can exploit a weak Kings front court.

Denver Nuggets @ Los Angeles Lakers

Jamal Murray OVER 17.5 Points (-124)

The Lakers are in big trouble, and the defense has been atrocious. Now they face another offensive juggernaut as Denver comes to town. Los Angeles has struggled against opposing point guards of late, ranking 29th in defensive efficiency over the last ten games. They have also allowed them to shoot over 40% from three, and 45% from the field. Murray is averaging 19 points per game since the break, and has tallied 20 and 22 points in the two meetings versus Los Angeles. Murray has scored 20 or more points in four straight, and that should continue tonight.

Philadelphia 76ers @ Chicago Bulls

Ben Simmons UNDER 19.5 Points (-122)

Ben Simmons can flash some scoring every now and then, but he has hit 20+ points just a few times since the end of January. He is logging heavy minutes, but we have seen average 17 points per game in the last ten. The scoring has been spread out since Joel Embiid went down, and the Bulls are also on a back-to-back with a below average squad. In four meetings with this Bulls squad, the under for 19.5 points has hit three times. Expect the rebounds and assists to be there, but I am not looking for Simmons to be an elite scorer.

San Antonio Spurs @ Atlanta Hawks

Derrick White OVER 13.5 Points (+100)

Odds are leaning more in favor of Derrick White hitting under 13, and I can see why. He is averaging 10 points per game in the last five, and 9.7 on the season. He has gone ice cold from three, but is averaging 3.2 attempts per game in the last five, and 10.9 FGA in general. Minutes have been on the rise. He isn’t a high usage guard with DeRozan and Aldridge sucking up the offense, but he has potential to make some shots in this matchup. In the last ten games, point guards are shooting over 50% against Atlanta. On the season they rank dead last in defensive efficiency.
