Knicks vs. Spurs NBA Finals Game 5 Preview, Picks & Odds for Saturday, June 13, 2026

Game 5 between the New York Knicks (3-1) and San Antonio Spurs (1-3) is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. Eastern on ABC. Can the Spurs take the first step towards joining the 2016 Cavaliers as the only teams in NBA history to mount a 3-1 comeback in the NBA Finals? Or will the Knicks win their first title since 1973? Either way, it will be a historic ending to the 2026 Finals.

Knicks vs. Spurs Betting Analysis

The Spurs scored 76 points in the first half and pushed the lead up to 29 points in the third quarter. They kept their composure when New York made a run and held a 20-point lead with 9:20 remaining in the fourth quarter. But everything fell apart from this point on. The Knicks made big shot after big shot, while the Spurs could not buy a basket.

OG Anunoby was the hero of Game 4. He scored 33 points on 10-for-15 shooting from the field and defended at a very high level. Anunoby saved the game, as he blocked De’Aaron Fox’s layup before tipping in Jalen Brunson’s missed shot on the other end to take the lead with 1.2 seconds remaining. Brunson remains the favorite to win Finals MVP, but Anunoby surged to the second-shortest odds after his Game 4 explosion.

On the flip side, this contest will be a stain on Victor Wembanyama’s legacy if the Spurs wind up losing the series. He went 3-for-14 from the field in the second half and missed a pair of crucial free throws with 1:47 remaining and San Antonio trailing by one point. It’s also worth noting that he recorded a flagrant foul in Game 4. If Wembanyama picks up another flagrant, then he will receive a one-game suspension by rule.

Dylan Harper deserves a shoutout despite the loss. The rookie scored 21 points on 8-for-12 shooting and chipped in four rebounds and three assists. San Antonio won his 32 minutes by 12 points. It would behoove the Spurs to give him a bit more playing time in Game 5 and beyond.

The best bet for Game 5 is taking the Spurs to cover the 2.5-point first quarter spread as favorites. They own a 19.5 net rating in the first quarter this playoffs and have won the first quarter by 8, 9, 11, and 19 points through four games this series. San Antonio should also come out with an edge at home after blowing Game 4 and likely the Finals.
