Jalen Johnson (ATL) Over Points + Rebounds + Assists

Johnson is always a good bet to stuff the stat sheet any time he takes the floor, and he’s been the most vital piece of Atlanta’s highly successful season that sees the Hawks trying to hold on to the No. 5 seed going into Wednesday. The breakout forward will be back in his usual role as the central cog in his team’s engine for Wednesday’s showdown against the Cavaliers, which carries a very narrow 1.5-point spread and 236+ point total as of early Wednesday. Johnson has already taken Cleveland to task in his two previous encounters with the Cavs this season, averaging 26.0 points, 12.5 rebounds and 8.5 assists per 37.0 minutes.

The Cavs continue to be a good team to target with power forwards as well, considering Cleveland is allowing the sixth-highest offensive efficiency rating to the position (28.3), along with 47.6% shooting. The Cavaliers are also conceding the third-most points (26.8) to the position in the last 15 games, and the fourth-most assists to fours on the season as well (4.8). With Johnson averaging 22.9 points (49.4% shooting), 9.6 rebounds and 8.0 assists over his last 14 games — and converting 64.7% of his 15.9 rebounding chances per game — this prop is very much in play.

Aaron Gordon (DEN) – Over Points + Rebounds

Gordon has picked up the pace down the stretch of the regular season, as he’ll come into Wednesday night’s favorable matchup against the Grizzlies with averages of 16.0 points (on 52.6% shooting, including 41.5% from distance), 5.3 rebounds and 2.8 assists across his last nine games. The versatile forward has 27- and 23-point tallies within that sample, and he’s scored at least 15 points in six of those games. Gordon has missed all three previous games against the Grizzlies this season, but he’ll now catch a Memphis team that’s very shorthanded in the frontcourt as the season enters its final days.

The Grizzlies are conceding the fourth-highest offensive efficiency rating to power forwards (28.6), along with 47.9% shooting to the position. Memphis is also allowing the eighth-most total rebounds per road game (54.5), along with a Western Conference-high 29.1% offensive rebounding rate. Gordon is converting an excellent 64.3% of his 9.2 rebounding chances per game, and he’s also amply capable of capitalizing on the Western Conference-high 64.9% two-point shooting the Grizzlies have allowed over the last three games.

Devin Vassell (SAO) – Over Points + Rebounds + Assists

Vassell has been up and down in his production recently, as he’s scored in single digits in five of his last 13 games. The talented wing is still averaging a solid 13.0 points over that span with the help of 41.0% three-point shooting, however, adding 4.2 rebounds and 2.9 assists per contest along the way. However, Wednesday lines up as a good opportunity for one of Vassell’s higher-percentile performances, as Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle are both listed as doubtful due to ribs and knee injuries, respectively. Additionally, the Trail Blazers have struggled to defend Vassell’s small forward position, and he also thrived in his one previous encounter with Portland this season.

Portland is surrendering the seventh-highest offensive efficiency rating to small forwards (24.8), along with 47.1% shooting to the position. Vassell posted 23 points and six rebounds across 35 minutes in his one prior meeting with the Blazers this season, a game that, like Wednesday’s, he played without Wemby and Castle alongside him. For the season, Vassell is averaging 27.9 points + rebounds + assists per 36 minutes with his two teammates off the floor, and with a competitive game expected Wednesday, he could well be right within that range of playing time.
