Thursday’s Anytime Goal Scorer Picks

  • Cutter Gauthier
  • Macklin Celebrini
  • Adrian Kempe

Cutter Gauthier Anytime Goal Scorer

When at full health, Cutter Gauthier has been a steady source of production for the Anaheim Ducks, averaging 0.39 Expected Goals per game. With Gautheir able to create high quality Shots on Goal at a consistent rate, their front line has been able to round back into dominant form, ranking in the top-5 in Expected Goals For in All Situations.

Heading into the final night of the regular season, Gauthier will be able to end his 2025-26 campaign on a high note, facing off against the Nashville Predators who rank below league average in Expected Goals Against in All Situations and in 5-on-5 Play. With his linemates stretching out their coverage, Gauthier will be able to generate a higher volume of Shots on Goal, increasing his chances of scoring.

Macklin Celebrini Anytime Goal Scorer

Since the start of the regular season, Macklin Celebrini has been able to thrive, averaging 0.39 Expected Goals and 3.51 Shots on Goal per game. Even though the San Jose Sharks just missed out on the playoffs, their future is bright with Celebrini capable of turning them into a viable contender the further he reaches his ceiling.

In a favorable matchup against the Nashville Predators, Celebrini will be able to build on his momentum by taking advantage of a back line who resides in the bottom half of the board in Expected Goals Against in All Situations. With the Predators struggling in coverage, the width of Celebrini’s shooting lanes in front of the net will widen, improving the quality of his Shots on Goal.

Adrian Kempe Anytime Goal Scorer

Even though the Los Angeles Kings were able to squeak into the playoffs at the last second, it’s hard to envision them being able to make a run as their front line grades out poorly in Expected Goals For. Even when receiving minimal support from his linemates, Adrian Kempe has still been able to play at a high level, averaging 0.34 Expected Goals and 2.80 Shots on Goal per game.

Fortunately for Kempe, he will be able to keep the Kings competitive in their contest against the Calgary Flames by exploiting a back line who ranks well below league average in Expected Goals Against in All Situations. Especially with Dustin Wolf struggling to protect their net this season, averaging 3.01 Goals Against per game and a .899 Save Percentage.
