NFL Team Win Total Odds 2020-21

If you are new to the world of sports betting, some of the terminology may need some explaining. When looking at a moneyline, this is a straight bet for the winner. You do not need to rely on a team winning by x amount. However, the odds can range much higher compared to looking at betting on a spread. For example, the Yankees could be -190 to win the game outright, but to win the game by the spread of -1.5, the odds move to -110. If we are expecting the Yankees to win, you can get better value on them winning by two. The spread in baseball sits at -1.5. NBA and NFL have larger spread ranges where the Falcons might need to win by six against the Panthers. Totals, or sometimes called over/under, are set numbers giving you the option to bet on the total score of games. The Patriots on the road against Pittsburgh could set a total of 45.5, leaving odds to be on the over or the under.

Finding the best odds is important in sports betting. We want to shop around for the best price, because it makes a difference at the end of the day. DraftKings could be offering the Panthers at -150 compared to FanDuel at -130. If you are looking at a Panthers win, FanDuel odds make more sense. You would need to bet $150 to win $100 on DraftKings, compared to $130 to win the same amount on FanDuel. While both sportsbooks will be in a very similar range, you can still find some discrepancies. This also can be applied to spreads and totals. Sportsbooks can differ in these areas, creating better chances for you. A point spread of 6.5 instead of 7.5 can make a difference. An MLB total set at 7.5 compared to 8.5 is also an edge. This also ties into shopping for an advantage between the two sites.

Overall this is an area to take in the days slate of games and what all odds are for the moneyline, total, and spread. Both sites are conveniently side by side to quickly check if there is a noticeable difference in odds. It is a good starting point for the day, and be sure to remember that odds are updating every ten minutes upon changes from the sites listed.
