San Antonio Spurs vs. Portland Trail Blazers Game 4 Preview, Picks & Odds for Sunday, April 26, 2026
Game 4 between the San Antonio Spurs (2-1) and Portland Trail Blazers (1-2) is set for 3:30 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. Victor Wembanyama is questionable to play after missing the previous contest with a concussion, although it’s a good sign that he cheered from the bench in Game 3.
Spurs vs. Trail Blazers Betting Analysis
Portland led 84-70 with 4:38 remaining in the third quarter. Jrue Holiday and Scoot Henderson were scoring efficiently, and the Blazers had success attacking the basket because Wembanyama was not there to roam the paint. They could also place Toumani Camara on De’Aaron Fox since Portland did not need the All-Defensive wing to guard Wembanyama.
It looked like an upset in the making. However, the Blazers’ three-point shooting dried up, and Dylan Harper and Stephon Castle took over the game. They combined to score 36 points on 11-of-16 shooting from the field in the second half and also dished out four assists compared to one turnover. It’s such a luxury to roster three guards who pressure the rim at a high level and operate on or off the ball.
When Harper was asked about what he saw that allowed him to take over in the third quarter, he said the following during his post-game interview: “For the collective group I think the energy was kind of down. When I came into the game, my biggest focus was not trying to get it all at once and just trying to be that energy guy that came in and played hard. Once I started doing that, I think the game just kind of opened up. Whether that was me getting offensive rebounds or getting in transition.”
No matter how this series ends, it’s exciting to see Harper and Henderson both break out for their respective teams.
The best bet for Game 4 is taking Donovan Clingan to score a maximum of eight points. Robert Williams III has been a revelation off the bench and matches up well against the Spurs. He played 23 minutes in Game 2 and 25 minutes in Game 3, so the veteran has surpassed Clingan in playing time. Additionally, Clingan is passing up decent looks beyond the arc and seems reluctant to shoot if it’s not wide open.
Overall, Clingan has scored 4, 7, and 9 points in this series.
