Damon Severson is the Devils leading scorer among defensemen with 33 points (eight goals and 25 assists).  He’s third on the team in blocked shots with 72 and has delivered 63 hits on the campaign.  Prized free-agent Dougie Hamilton, who has missed time due to injury has 25 points in 42 games (nine goals and 16 assists).  He’s blocked 67 shots and averaging 21:10 of ice time per game.  Ryan Graves leads New Jersey in blocked shots with 106 in 2021-22.  Graves is averaging 20:45 of ice time per game and 24 points on the year (five goals and 19 assists).  P.K. Subban has 19 points on the season and averaging 18:51 of ice time per game.  Subban has blocked 70 shots and recorded 55 hits this season.

The Devils have started six different goalies this season, Mackenzie Blackwood, Nico Daws, Jonathan Bernier, Jon Gillies, Scott Wedgewood, and Akira Schmid.  New Jersey is in desperate need of true number one goaltender they can rely on.  Mackenzie Blackwood has started the most games in net for the Devils this season (22).  On the season he’s 9-9-3 with a .894 save percentage and a 3.29 GAA.  Blackwood is currently on injured reserve since late January due to a left heel injury.  Nico Daws has started most games over the past few weeks.  Daws is 6-6-0 with a .902 save percentage and a 2.99 GAA.  Jon Gillies has also seen time in New Jersey’s net with a record of 3-10-0 while registering a 3.80 GAA in 2021-22.
