Russell Westbrook Over Alt. 25.5 Points + Rebounds + Assists and Keegan Murray To Score 15 +Points and Lauri Markkanen Over Alt. 28.5 Points + Rebounds (+176 on FanDuel Sportsbook)
Friday night’s Kings-Jazz showdown has a robust 242.5-point total, so expectations for strong individual performances are rightfully high. Westbrook, who’s enjoying a resurgent season and has taken over the starting point guard role, is certainly a good place to start our three-leg SGP, considering he’s putting up 12.5 points, 7.5 rebounds and 6.9 assists over his current eight-game run with the first unit. Westbrook has been at his most productive on the road during that stretch with averages of 13.2 points, 8.6 rebounds and 8.4 assists, and the Jazz check in allowing a Western Conference-high 128.6 points and league-high 31.8 assists per home contest.
Murray has jumped right into the mix after his delayed season debut and a quiet first game, as the talented power forward has averaged 21.3 points (on 49% shooting) alongside 9.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 1.7 steals and 1.3 blocks per contest in his last three games. Given Utah’s defensive generosity and the fact the Jazz have been particularly vulnerable to power forwards (23.8 PPG allowed to position), Murray getting to at least 15 points is certainly very much in play.
Finally, Markkanen is a good way to round out our parlay, as the versatile big man is averaging a career-high 28.5 points per game, including 31.7 per home contest (along with 7.0 rebounds per game). The Kings are right down there with the Jazz in terms of vulnerability to power forwards, allowing 25.3 points and 10.5 rebounds per game to the position, meaning Markkanen should have a very good chance of vaulting over his Alt. Points + Rebounds prop.
Luka Doncic To Record a Double-Double and Anthony Davis Over Alt. Total 22.5 Points and Rebounds and Over Alt. Total 223.5 Points (+215 on FanDuel Sportsbook)
A Doncic double-double is about as automatic as it gets regardless of opponent, considering the All-World guard has accomplished the feat in 10 of 13 games to date. Doncic is also averaging a double-double at home, where he’s putting up an absurd 39.5 points per contest alongside 10.5 assists and 9.5 rebounds per contest. He should have a little extra juice to his game Friday with his old Mavericks squad in town, and we can expect a more competitive game if Anthony Davis makes his return from a calf injury as expected.
Speaking of AD, it’s reported he’ll be on some form of a minutes restriction after missing the last 14 games, so we’re going to capitalize on FD’s Alt. Total feature to give him a relatively modest benchmark to clear in terms of points + rebounds. The big man was averaging well above this figure — 25.0 points and 11.8 rebounds — in the four non-injury-shortened games he played before going down, so this should still be firmly within his range of outcomes.
As for our third leg, we’ll go with an Over on an Alt. Total that should be readily achievable between these two teams now that Davis will be on the floor, even in a part-time role. The conventional total for the game sits at 231.5, and the Mavs and Lakers are surrendering a combined 230.3 points per game. With LeBron James also available on the Lakers’ end of things, we should have more than enough ammunition for this aspect of our parlay to hit, and it could arguably played up to a bit higher amount in order to sweeten the overall pot a bit.
