Another Alberta Online Casino Gets Approval For July 13 Launch
There is one addition to the list of platforms that have received conditional approval to begin operating online casinos in Alberta next month.
Casino Days, operated by Golden Nebula Limited, brings the number of operators that have been preapproved in Alberta to 47, though there some of those approvals include more than one branded site.
Alberta online casinos and sportsbooks are set to launch on July 13. It is the second province to offer regulated iGaming after Ontario launched in 2022.
Who is the latest Alberta operator?
Casino Days offers thousands of slot game choices, plus live blackjack, roulette and game shows. The app, which is legally available in Ontario, underwent a facelift in March. Golden Nebula promised faster loading times and a streamlined withdrawal process.
Golden Nebula stated that the redesign also boosted safer game play, and promised transparency as well as timed and spending limits. In 2025, the site was shortlisted for the EGR Rising Operator Award, “which recognizes operators noted for customer engagement, transparency and responsible service.”
But, in June 2025, Casino Days was fined C$54,000 for offering a $2,000 welcome bonus that had so many conditions attached, the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario calculated the average player would have had to spend $3,640 to earn it.
The AGCO scolded Casino Days for offering the $2,000 bonus that required players to wager at least $70,000, with no bets over $5 each – and do it all in seven days.
“According to Ontario’s iGaming rules, registered operators must not offer bonus promotions that encourage harmful gambling behaviour and fail to disclose key conditions appropriate,” sated the AGCO. “Further, operators are not permitted to entice players with bonuses that cannot reasonably be attained without significant gambling losses.”
