2026 ATP HSBC Championships Bracket Analysis
Quarter 1
Pending stamina, Alex De Minaur should be the pick as the top name in Quarter 1. He is coming off a deep run this past week, however, so the fatigue factor is our only concern while facing a youthful opponent in Gabriel Diallo Round 1. Demon’s final shouldn’t scare bettors from him as he lost, but Denis Shapovalov and Brandon Nakashima are names that could take out De Minaur while the bottom of the section is a bit of a mystery.
Rafael Jodar is the top name in the bottom of Quarter 1, as we will see how his success from the clay can translate to grass. Also in this section is Ignacio Buse, who had a stellar clay court season although his grass court game is yet to be determined. Approaching this quarter, De Minaur should be the pick but is fatigue concerns you then look at Shap or Nakashima next and standby for Round 1 results for the bottom quarter names.
Quarter 2
Jakub Mensik is the top name in Quarter 2 but gets a grass court threat in Adrian Mannarino Round 1. Jenson Brooksby and Alexander Blockx are solid dark horses to eye pending Round 1 results, but the winner of Mensik/Mannarino in Round 1 should take this quarter. Francisco Cerundolo is the top name at the bottom of this quarter, but one could argue grass is his weakest surface to play on. Much like Quarter 1, the winner is likely to come from the top half of the bracket between Mensik and Mananrino, but pending Round 1 results Brooksby and Blockx at the bottom might be the sleepers to eye.
Quarter 3
Quarter 3 has many impressive names scattered, beginning with Tommy Paul at the top who has a tough encounter with Jaume Munar in Round 1. Also in Paul’s quarter lies Cam Norrie, Corentin Moutet, Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard and Alejandro Davidovich Fokina – so this will be tough for the top name Paul. He also withdrew from last week’s tournament, so health is a mystery entering the event.
Of the names listed above not named Tommy Paul, Norrie and Mpetshi Perricard are the best players on the grass court surface. They should be the two names to highlight if looking past Paul. Although Munar is capable of the upset win, its a match Paul should win – and if he does should be your pick to win Quarter 3 but the best player on grass is Norrie here.
Quarter 4
Quarter 4 is another interesting part of the bracket with No. 2 seed Jiri Lehecka taking on Kamil Majchrzak in Round 1, as the latter is coming off a huge run and win over De Minaur for the ‘s-Hertogenbosch trophy. The top of this quarter is a blood bath as well, with Marin Cilic facing Ugo Humbert Round 1 and Hamad Medjedovic squaring off against Arthur Rinderknech. The winners of those two matches become immediate threats to win the quarter, especially if Majchrzak can mirror his success in Netherlands and take out the No. 2 seed in Round 1.
Tournament Pick: Jakub Mensik +700
Sleeper Pick: Cam Norrie +1600

2026 ATP Terra Wortmann Open Bracket Analysis
Quarter 1
The Roland Garros men’s champion Alexander Zverev is the top seed in his home country’s event, as the favorite to win the title in Halle. Looking at the draw, it might not be easy with Vit Kopriva in Round 1 and potential meeting with Joao Fonseca in Round 2. The defending champion, Alexander Bublik, is also at the bottom of Quarter 1 as the No. 7 seed in Halle. We should get a battle of the Alexander’s to win the quarter but Bublik does have an easier path pending the status of Raphael Collignon’s grass court form.
Quarter 2
Ben Shelton is fresh off a title in Stuttgart, beating Taylor Fritz impressively and now the No. 3 seed in Halle and top name in Quarter 2. He gets Nick Kyrgios Round 1 in what is going to be a blockbuster match for the media. Under them lies the winner of Karen Khachanov and Ethan Quinn, so Shelton will have his work cut out immediately. We just mentioned Fritz, and wouldn’t you know it he is at the bottom of Quarter 2 as we could get a Stuttgart final rematch for the quarter.
Fritz might have a case for the easier path, but his Round 1 meeting against Zizou Bergs won’t be a cake walk. He also has Fabian Marozsan and Miomir Kecmanovic above him, players he should beat but can also easily lose to. The stamina of Shelton-Fritz after going deep in Halle is a legit concern, but Fritz is used to playing a lot of tennis and if anything needs more matches.
Quarter 3
Quarter 3 sees Daniil Medvedev as the top name, nestled at the very bottom safely whereas the top section is a bit more chaotic. Down below, Meddy has Tomas Martin Etcheverry in Round 1 which he should win as TME’s main threat level is on clay and not grass. Martin Landaluce and Terence Atmane lie above Meddy and are similar to TME in that they could pull off the upset, but Meddy should advance on talent and surface type.
The top of this quarter is difficult though with both Hubert Hurkacz and Andrey Rublev are. While Rublev should win this match, Hurkacz is always a threat to play well and go deep in events. While he hasn’t in recent months, he is more than capable and an upset win over Rublev is not only very possible but could also spark a potential run. We’ll go with Meddy for now, but the winner of Rublev/Hurkacz should be heavily considered as well.
Quarter 4
We get another insane Round 1 matchup at the top of Quarter 4 between Flavio Cobolli and Frances Tiafoe. The winner of this match should be a top choice to win Quarter 4, and should advance to the quarterfinals. The bottom of Quarter 4 is a bit more difficult to predict pending the play of Learner Tien. While Felix Auger-Aliassime is the top name at the bottom of Quarter 4, a potential Round 2 meeting with Tien jeopardizes our conviction in FAA reaching the semifinals.
There are four standouts to win Quarter 4, which makes things complicated. To make things simple, the winner of Tiafoe-Cobolli Round 1 should be your top choice while Tien is a great dark horse. As for FAA, feel free to pick him but the value for him winning the event shouldn’t change drastically should he reach the quarterfinals and get past both Tien and Nuno Borges, his Round 1 opponent.
