We got shut out on Saturday, as Jac Caglianone, Christian Yelich, and Nick Kurtz each failed to hit home runs. Let’s try to bounce back on the Sunday slate.

Today, we’re going with Shohei Ohtani, Junior Caminero, and Jake Burger. Each of these hitters is in a good spot to hit a home run.

Home Run Prop Predictions & Odds: MLB HR Best Bets for Sunday, June 14

Shohei Ohtani Home Run Odds

Shohei Ohtani .305/.426/.553 with 14 home runs in 304 plate appearances. He’s starting to really heat up at the plate. So far in June, Ohtani is slashing .436/.551/.872 with four home runs. He’s now gone yard in three consecutive games, so we’ll bet on him to make it four in a row in this favorable spot.

Ohtani will get to hit against White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde, who is putting up a 4.62 xERA, 1.99 HR/9, and a 9.1% barrel rate. With how red-hot Ohtani has been at the plate, there’s a reasonable chance that he can homer yet again, since Fedde has had major issues with the long ball.

Even at short odds, it’s a good spot to ride with Ohtani. You want to hop on board this freight train whenever it’s in top form. Risk 0.1 units.

Junior Caminero Home Run Odds

Junior Caminero is currently slashing .273/.373/.482 with 14 home runs in 295 plate appearances. You have to love how he’s increased his walk rate from 6.3% to 13.9% while trimming his strikeout rate from 19.1% to 16.9%. He’s done that while maintaining a rock-solid barrel rate at 12.3%.

Even though Caminero hasn’t homered since June 1, I love the spot against Angels’ right-hander Grayson Rodriguez, who has a 6.67 xERA, 1.54 HR/9, and 10.7% barrel rate. Then, you have to consider the conditions at Angel Stadium today. Forecasts call for 80-degree temperatures with 8 MPH winds blowing out.

That’s exactly what you want to see when targeting a power hitter like Caminero to go yard. It’s a good spot for him to hit No. 15 today. Risk 0.1 units.

Jake Burger Home Run Odds

Jake Burger is currently slashing .248/.307/.440 with 12 home runs in 274 plate appearances. He’s slowly heating up at the plate, with two multi-hit games in his last four games, including two homers during that stretch.

Up next is a great spot against Connelly Early. While Early is a talented lefty, he’s ripe for regression, since his 4.56 xERA is much higher than his 3.30 ERA. Early has had a tough time with allowing home runs, as highlighted by a 1.52 HR/9.

On top of that, Burger has been much better against left-handers like Early, putting up a 146 wRC+ against them.

The last key factor pointing me towards Burger tonight is the weather forecast. It’s expected that we’re getting 86-degree temperatures with 15 MPH winds blowing out at Fenway. That’s exactly what you want when targeting a home run prop.

With that in mind, let’s ride with Burger to hit No. 13. Risk 0.1 units.
