2026 ATP Mallorca Championships Bracket Analysis

Quarter 1

Luciano Darderi gets the Round 1 bye as the No. 1 seed in Mallorca this week, but his 2026 success has come off clay courts so we’ll see how he adapts to the grass surface now. Jan-Lennard Struff is always a solid grass court player to look at, but has a tough first round meeting with Martin Landaluce where the winner presents a solid sleeper to consider. However, the meeting between Adrian Mannarino and Nuno Borges should be the only ones considering outside Darderi.

Mannarino has been playing some great tennis since moving away from his hated clay court surface and onto the grass. He might be the top pick to consider with Darderi’s 4-7 grass court record. This is a tough quarter to pick with uncertainty from the top seed, but the conviction for Mannarino should be the highest from these names despite Borges potentially spoiling things early.

Quarter 2

As we mentioned in the WTA preview, players will pull out of tournament early with a major approaching. For Quarter 2, Frances Tiafoe would be that name as he is now in a final. Due to his deep run in Halle, it’s unlikely he will play in Mallorca. That leaves a huge toss up for who to consider in Quarter 2 with Tiafoe a sizable favorite in the draw. Ignacio Buse is an up-and-coming player to consider backing, but gets Stefanos Tsitsipas in Round 1.

On paper, with Tiafoe out this becomes Sitty’s quarter to lose. His play will dictate the winner here, while either Ethan Quinn or Valentin Royer are more than capable of going on a run to win the quarter. The winner of Buse and Tsitsipas is likely to reach the semifinals should Tiafoe pull out.

Quarter 3

Alejandro Tabilo is the No. 4 seed and gets a first round bye, a solid pick to consider reaching the semifinals. However, Hamad Medjedovic stands out as a great pick with his recent form. He does have a very difficult meeting in Round 1 against fellow countryman Miomir Kecmanovic, however, while the winner of Mariano Navone and Lorenzo Sonego could also pose some difficulties. Navone’s lethal play is mainly on clay courts though, while Sonego has struggled with form this season. Tabilo and Medjedovic should be your looks here

Quarter 4

It’s nice to see Grigor Dimitrov in the draw, although his form is downright heartbreaking to watch. Maybe he could go on a run in Mallorca, but it’s not likely and should be avoided as a wager despite the popularity that comes with him. Alejandro Davidovich Fokina is the top seed in Quarter 4, getting a first round bye and potential meeting with Nick Kyrgios in Round 2. Kyrgios actually looked decent in his last match, but ADF should be the pick between the two.

The name to watch in Quarter 4 is Corentin Moutet, a potential winner of Quarter 4 while also a potential loser of his Round 1 match. If he can get past his Round 1 match against Marton Fucsovics then he should be a good pick to consider despite his recent slumps.

Tournament Pick: Alejandro Davidovich Fokina
Sleeper Pick: Adrian Mannarino

2026 ATP Eastbourne Open Bracket Analysis

Quarter 1

Whether Taylor Fritz will play Eastbourne is still up in the air, as he is playing another final this week (his second straight). However, Fritz is notorious for playing tons of tennis and he also missed a lot of time earlier in the year. He will more than likely convince himself he needs to play, so for now consider Fritz the No. 1 seed and top name in Quarter 1. Should he play, he is a layup pick to win the quarter with not too many threatening names in his path.

Should Fritz withdraw, Alexei Popyrin becomes the biggest beneficiary but has a first round match to get by. The winner of Zizou Bergs and Jaume Munar would likely be the next picks to consider should Fritz withdraw.

Quarter 2

Francisco Cerundolo is the top name in Quarter 2, and has potential to go on a run after a solid showing on grass this season but may withdraw. He is in the final of Queen’s, so Jacob Fearnley (who gets a wild card) becomes a top threat to consider. Arthur Fery also gets a wild card in this section with potential to make noise. Fery also had a solid showing last week, while Raphael Collignon also finds himself in a winnable part of the draw. While Cerundolo gatekeeps the quarter for now, it is a true toss up with the level of play the names around him present on the grass surface along with his likelihood of withdrawing.

Quarter 3

Brandon Nakashima is another player to watch in terms of potential withdrawals, going deep in Queen’s with a semifinals loss to Cerundolo. He also gets a very difficult Round 1 meeting with a returning Jack Draper. While Draper is the better player when all sides are equal, we don’t know his injury status along with Nakashima’s fatigue. Terence Atmane faces Gabriel Diallo in Round 1, where the winner has a chance to go on a run despite the latter still struggling to find consistency this season.

Tomas Martin Etcheverry is the No. 4 seed in Eastbourne and gets the first round bye in Quarter 3, but the conviction he races to the semifinals on grass isn’t quite there. If Nakashima withdraws than Draper should be the pick but this is a tough section to predict with the status of Nakashima unknown. For now, Draper and Atmane are probably your best bets her.

Quarter 4

If Mattia Bellucci can get by Ugo Humbert in Round 1, look out. It’s possible with Humbert coming off a deep run this past week. If Humbert withdraws then it adds more conviction to Bellucci possibly going on a run. Despite underdog success this season, especially ATS, he shouldn’t be considered the top pick by any means with Joao Fonseca lurking at the bottom.

Fonseca is actually set up nicely in this draw, getting a first round bye as the No. 2 seed and lumped with three qualifiers before even reaching the quarterfinals. The status of Humbert definitely impacts this part of the draw, but Fonseca is easily the best name to consider here while Bellucci poses a serious dark horse threat. Jenson Brooksby has potential as well, with grass being one of his favorite surfaces, but his 2026 has been tough to say the least.

Tournament Pick: Taylor Fritz
Sleeper Pick: Jacob Fearnley
