Just when it looked like the Philadelphia Flyers were going to even up the series before going back home for game three, the Carolina Hurricanes were able to claw out of their 0-2 hole and secure the win in overtime. Scarier yet, the Hurricanes actually left multiple goals off the board, converting just three of their 5.23 Expected Goals.

With the Hurricanes back line firing on all cylinders, expect their defense to continue to give the Flyers fits, forcing them into prolonged scoring lulls. When struggling to pressure the net, the Hurricanes will be able to set a scoring pace too fast for them to keep up with, putting them in a great position to take a commanding 3-0 series lead.
