Chargers-Raiders MNF Parlay Predictions, Picks, Odds: NFL Week 2 SGP Best Bets (Monday, Sept. 15)

The Los Angeles Chargers are fresh off a surprising, encouraging win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Now, they’ll look to slow a Las Vegas Raiders offense that was ignited by Geno Smith last week, and the two sides could easily produce a shootout.

We’ll get into the best Chargers vs. Raiders same-game parlay below, highlighting a couple of overlooked offensive weapons and placing our money on the arm of Justin Herbert.

Chargers-Raiders Odds: NFL Week 2 Spread, Moneyline, Total

Chargers vs. Raiders: MNF Same-Game Parlay (+550 at DraftKings)

Justin Herbert Over 256.5 Passing Yards (-111)

The Raiders may have emerged victorious last week, shining through the air, but they were rather weak on defense and allowed Drake Maye to put up 287 yards on 30-of-46 passing.

In earning a poor coverage grade from Pro Football Focus following the game, they certainly look like minced meat against this high-powered Chargers offense, which was electrified by another brilliant Justin Herbert outing last week. He was a top-five passer last season according to PFF, and the Raiders are returning a weak defense, so there’s little reason to shy away from the big man here.

I’m a firm believer that Vegas will put up points here, too, after Geno Smith flirted with a 400-yard game last week against the Pats. L.A. is dealing with several key injuries on defense, and will be without Denzel Perryman and Elijah Molden on top of a couple of other question marks, so that should keep Herbert throwing all game long.

Ashton Jeanty Over 88.5 Rushing + Receiving Yards (-115)

We did just lay out above how brutalized by injury this Chargers defense already is, and that should help rookie Ashton Jeanty breathe easy as he enters his second career game. The rookie never got it going against a solid Patriots front, but the good news is that this Chargers team was largely ineffective in stopping Kansas City last week, allowing 5.8 yards per carry and four catches on six targets to the Chiefs’ running backs.

Jeanty has real talent, and Vegas should look to get him involved however it can here, and that means his combination prop is very much in play. He only mustered up 38 yards on 19 carries last week, but the volume was there, and he also caught two passes to bring his total touches to 21. With that kind of usage and L.A.’s pedestrian and slightly injured defense, he should be in the clear.

Tyler Conklin 15+ Receiving Yards (+104)

The Chargers simply had some fun out there last week, and they managed to get just about everyone on the team involved through the air.

One man who made the most of it was Tyler Conklin — amassing 50 yards on just two catches.

Conklin may be second on the depth chart to Will Dissly, but he offers far more upside as a pass-catcher and saw 43% of the snaps last week in the end. There should be ample opportunities here for some short-yardage completions against a team that flaunts a decent pass rush and weak coverage beyond the line of scrimmage, and to make matters sweeter, the Raiders were the fifth-worst team versus tight ends last year.

Final Chargers-Raiders MNF Same-Game Parlay (SGP) Prediction

As of this publication, these picks combine for (+550) SGP odds. Given the potential volatility with same-game parlays, I recommend only betting with pizza money if you choose to do so. Remember to always wager responsibly.

Whether you tail or fade my picks, best of luck building your same-game parlay for Commanders vs. Packers!
