Eagles-Chargers Parlay Predictions, Picks, Odds For Monday: NFL Week 14 SGP Best Bets (Monday, December 8)

The Philadelphia Eagles (8-4) take on the Los Angeles Chargers (8-4) in Week 14 Monday Night Football in what could be a game that goes down to the wire, as reflected in the point spread with Philly as 2.5-point favorites.

Each team has a significant injury to report, with the Eagles missing stud defensive lineman Jalen Carter, and Justin Herbert playing through a hand issue for the Chargers.

With that in mind, let’s dive into the best Eagles vs. Chargers SGP we could put together by analyzing several top bets for this inter-conference matchup.

Eagles vs. Chargers Odds & Same-Game Parlay (+900 at DraftKings)

Eagles vs. Chargers props: Justin Herbert Under 210.5 passing yards (-113)

Let’s start our Eagles vs Chargers SGP by fading Herbert as he deals with a hand injury. We saw him throw for only 151 yards against the Raiders last week, so it’s going to be tough to eclipse this number against a tough Eagles defense.

The Eagles are allowing 228.5 passing yards per game this season, but this projects as a run-heavy game script for the Chargers. Jim Harbaugh won’t want to put too much on Herbert’s plate due to this injury, plus Omarion Hampton is returning to the lineup.

Look for less passing volume and fewer big plays from Herbert, given these circumstances.

Eagles vs. Chargers props: Omarion Hampton Over 44.5 rushing yards (-110)

The next prop targets Hampton in his return to action. We’re getting a low bar at 44.5 rushing yards because it’s his first game back from injury.

Chargers’ offensive coordinator Greg Roman spoke about how Hampton would form a committee with Kimani Vidal, which is another reason why this number is so low.

The absence of Carter for the Eagles up front, however, coupled with Herbert’s injury, could push the Chargers to a run-heavy approach. Even if Hampton splits time with Vidal, he could easily get to 45+ rushing yards.

We saw how Bucky Irving immediately took over the bell-cow role for the Bucs when he returned. Don’t be surprised if that happens with Hampton as well. I’m not buying this committee talk.

Eagles vs. Chargers props: Keenan Allen Under 37.5 receiving yards (-110)

The next prop zeroes in on Keenan Allen, fading him by taking Under 37.5 receiving yards. With the Chargers likely to go run-heavy, there’s a good chance that one or more of their wideouts have a disappointing game.

The Eagles rank 11th in man coverage rate this season. Allen has put up 1.26 yards per route run vs man this year, which is a significant decrease from 2.33 yards per route run against zone.

With that in mind, don’t be surprised if it’s another quiet game from Allen here.

Eagles vs. Chargers props: DeVonta Smith Over 57.5 receiving yards (-114)

My final prop focuses on DeVonta Smith, targeting him at over 56.5 receiving yards. The main appeal here is the schematic matchup against the Chargers.

The Chargers rank 7th in zone coverage rate this season. That’s good news for Smith, whose yards per route run goes from 1.66 against man to 2.33 vs zone.

Look for Smith to lead the way for the Eagles in the passing game here.

Final Eagles-Chargers Monday Same-Game Parlay (SGP) Prediction

These picks offer a combined +900 odds as of this publication. Remember to wager responsibly on these plays given the volatility of same-game parlays.

Best of luck with your NFL bets in Week 14!
