Giants vs. Mets Odds (Sunday, July 27): Moneyline, Spread, Total

Eli’s Giants-Mets Prediction & Best Bets

My favorite wager is on San Francisco’s  moneyline odds. As for my same-game parlay (SGP), I’ll add Giants shortstop Willy Adames to go yard, which is priced at  odds as a standalone bet. Considering the volatility involved in cashing a two-for-one wager, I recommend only betting pizza money on SGPs.

What Are Same-Game Parlays?

Same-game parlays allow sportsbook customers to combine multiple bets from the same matchup on a single wagering slip, such as a moneyline bet on which team will win, an over/under on the total score, and a prop bet on a specific player. Traditionally, parlays have revolved around combining two or more bets from different games.

Mets At Giants Same-Game Parlay: Will San Francisco Rebound?

In an attempt to avoid a sweep, the Giants will employ a “bullpen game,” with 32-year-old lefty Matt Gage serving as the opener. Conversely, the Mets will trot out right-hander Kodai Senda, who boasts a 1.79 ERA in 15 outings this season.

On Monday against the Los Angeles Angels, Senga surrendered four earned runs across just three innings of work. Much of my handicap revolves around fading the Japanese talent, whose peripherals indicate he’s due for more regression. He showcases a 4.00 xERA and 3.36 xFIP, with his fastball velocity dipping over his last five starts.

Although San Francisco’s lineup has struggled against Senga’s pitch mix for much of the season, it has improved over the last two weeks. During this span, the Giants rank in the top 10 among wFB (fastball), wSL (slider), and wCH (changeup) runs above average versus righties.

As far as individual hitters, Adames settles in the top 15 against each of the first two pitch types. To boot, he’s produced six of 15 dingers in July. Even against Senga’s devastating forkball, I like Adames’ chances of taking one deep, relative to his aforementioned HR odds.

Given that his team is tied for the seventh-lowest wRC+ this month, his home run pop has been much needed. With the Giants’ well-rested relievers also playing to our advantage, I expect them to emerge victorious on Sunday night.

Final Giants-Mets Prediction

As noted, I’ll have a ticket on the Giants’ moneyline odds. By including Adames’ home run prop in my same-game parlay, these bets combine for +700 SGP odds at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Good luck with your prediction and bets for Giants vs. Mets!
