Tobias Harris (DET) – Over Points + Rebounds
Harris kept right on rolling in Game 1 of the second round, following a stellar showing during the first-round series over his old Magic squad. The veteran forward recorded 28 points + rebounds across 39 minutes, pushing his average this postseason to 29.5 points + rebounds across 35.8 minutes per contest. Harris is 7-1 to the 24.5 number over that span, which furthers what is already a very strong case for him to continue thriving in Game 2.
The Cavaliers are now allowing a 28.4 offensive efficiency rating to power forwards since the start of the regular season, along with 47.6% shooting to the position. Additionally, Cleveland has allowed 14.2 made threes per road game since the start of the season, which ranks as the highest of any Eastern Conference squad in the original 16-team playoff field. That bodes well for Harris’ chances of boosting his scoring, considering he’s shot 42.1% from behind the arc in the last three games.
Original Line Publish: 24.5
Evan Mobley (CLE) – Over Points + Rebounds
Harris’ “opposite number,” Mobley, had his own successful series-opening performance Tuesday, and we’re going right back to the well with him for Game 2. The versatile big man provided 23 points + rebounds across 35 minutes, pushing his postseason average to 25.2 points + rebounds over 33.4 minutes per contest. Mobley has shot 57.6% over the entirety of that span, including 54.5% in his first game against Detroit.
The Pistons are never an appealing matchup on paper, but Mobley has amply proven capable of vaulting over this number since the start of the regular season. In terms of recent games, Mobley is one rebound away from going 7-4 to this prop over his last 11 games, and he’s also converting 52.3% of his 16.5 rebounding opportunities per contest thus far in the postseason. With a reasonable expectation of a competitive game on tap, Mobley should see more than enough minutes to have a fighting chance to cash this prop.
Original Line Publish: 23.5
Chet Holmgren (OKC) – Over Points + Rebounds
We’re going with an all-power-forward prop card tonight, and Holmgren represents a fine way to put a bow on it. The versatile big man hit the ground running in Game 1 against the Lakers, contributing a second consecutive 24-point, 12-rebound double-double after also doing so eight days earlier in the series-clinching win over the Suns in the first round. Holmgren is averaging 27.8 points + rebounds per contest overall in five postseason games while shooting 57.4%, including 45.0% from behind the arc.
The big man is converting 54.0% of his 15.8 rebounding opportunities per game in the postseason, so he has a solid floor in that department. That’s shown up in Holmgren’s tallies of at least seven rebounds in each postseason game thus far, and it’s worth noting he also shot 52.9% over four regular-season games against the Lakers during the regular season. Then, the 47.9% shooting on the road Los Angeles surrenders is the highest in that split of any of the eight remaining teams in the postseason, which further benefits Holmgren’s chances.
