New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks Game 6 Preview, Picks & Odds for Thursday, April 30, 2026

Game 6 between the New York Knicks (3-2) and Atlanta Hawks (2-3) is scheduled for 7 p.m. Eastern on ESPN. Will the Hawks extend the series at home after dropping the past two contests?

Knicks vs. Hawks Betting Analysis

New York built a 13-point lead after the first quarter and never looked back. Jalen Brunson scored 39 points on 15-of-23 shooting from the field, while Karl-Anthony Towns and OG Anunoby both posted double-doubles. It was the second straight game that the Hawks looked physically overwhelmed by Towns, Anunoby, and Mitchell Robinson.

Meanwhile, Atlanta failed to reach 100 points again. It’s directly tied to CJ McCollum’s drop in production, as he averaged 27 points during the first three games of the series but plummeted to 11.5 points over the last two games. New York’s defense has done an excellent job of adjusting and devoting more resources towards limiting McCollum. He is Atlanta’s best off-the-dribble creator, so the offense frequently wilts when McCollum is out of the action.

Hawks head coach Quin Snyder heaped praised on New York’s defense during his post-game interview: “Their defense never really let us establish consistently how we need to play to beat them…I think we need to execute on who we are and what we have done to be a good team, and that’s hard when you play against a team of their caliber.”

Jonathan Kuminga is the X factor in Game 6. He’s athletic and big enough to vie against New York’s frontcourt, and Kuminga is capable of exploding for 20 points. The former lottery pick also excels at drawing contact, so there’s a chance that Kuminga gets an important Knicks player into foul trouble.

The best bet for Game 6 is taking Mitchell Robinson to score at least four points. He has been a menace on the offensive glass and plays around 15 minutes per game. Overall, Robinson has scored 2, 3, 6, 7, and 13 points in this series.

Knicks vs. Hawks Best Bet, Pick & Prediction
